Description
前記光記録媒体が1層の記録を有する1層記録媒体か、或いは2層の記録層を有する2層記録媒体であるかを判別すると共に、前記光減衰素子の進退を判別する判別手段と、
前記収差補正手段による補正量の学習を行う球面収差学習手段と、前記判別手段の判別結果に応じて前記学習手段が学習を行う場合の、前記収差補正手段の学習開始の初期位置を切り替える手段とを備え、前記収差補正手段は、コリメートレンズとして機能する一対のレンズのレンズ間隔を変化させることにより、前記透明基板の厚みの変化に伴う収差、及び前記光減衰素子の進退に伴って発生する収差を補正することを特徴とする光学的情報記録再生装置。
図1は本発明による光学的情報記録再生装置の第1の実施形態を示すブロック図である。先ず、光学系の概要について説明する。
図5は本発明の第2の実施形態を示すブロック図である。本実施形態では、使用する光ディスクが青色対応ディスクか、赤色対応ディスクかに応じて球面収差補正手段の球面収差学習の初期位置を切り替えるものである。まず、使用するディスクが青色対応ディスクである場合の光学系の概要について説明する。

Claims (3)
- 光源からの光束を対物レンズに導き、前記対物レンズにより光記録媒体の記録面に透明基板を介して集光して情報を記録し、或いは前記光記録媒体からの戻り光に基づいて情報の再生を行う光学的情報記録再生装置において、
前記光源、前記光源からの光出力を減衰させるために平行平板からなる光減衰素子、偏光ビームスプリッタ、収差補正手段、及び前記対物レンズが、この順に設けられており、
前記光減衰素子を前記光路に対して垂直方向に進退させる駆動手段と、
前記光記録媒体が1層の記録を有する1層記録媒体か、或いは2層の記録層を有する2層記録媒体であるかを判別すると共に、前記光減衰素子の進退を判別する判別手段と、
前記収差補正手段による補正量の学習を行う球面収差学習手段と、
前記判別手段の判別結果に応じて前記学習手段が学習を行う場合の、前記収差補正手段の学習開始の初期位置を切り替える手段とを備え、
前記収差補正手段は、コリメートレンズとして機能する一対のレンズのレンズ間隔を変化させることにより、前記透明基板の厚みの変化に伴う収差、及び前記光減衰素子の進退に伴って発生する収差を補正することを特徴とする光学的情報記録再生装置。 - 前記光減衰素子は、前記判別手段により前記光記録媒体が1層記録媒体と判別された場合には、前記光減衰素子を前記光路に挿入し、2層記録媒体と判別された場合には、前記光減衰素子を前記光路から退避させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録再生装置。
- 前記判別手段により前記光記録媒体が2層記録媒体と判別された場合には、前記光記録媒体の2層の記録層においてそれぞれ前記球面収差学習手段により前記補正量の学習を行い、学習結果を記憶手段に保持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録再生装置。
