Claims (2)
- エンジンの燃焼室に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射手段と、エンジンの排気通路に備わるパティキュレートフィルタに堆積したPMの量が所定値に達した場合に、エンジンの膨張行程で燃料を噴射するポスト噴射を上記燃料噴射手段に行わせることにより、上記パティキュレートフィルタに流入する排ガスの温度を上昇させて上記堆積したPMを燃焼させるフィルタ再生処理を実行する排ガス温度調整手段と、上記パティキュレートフィルタの上流側および下流側を流れる排ガスの圧力を検出する圧力センサとを備えたパティキュレートフィルタ再生装置であって、
上記排ガス温度調整手段は、
上記フィルタ再生処理によるPMの燃焼過程で、上記圧力センサの検出値から上記パティキュレートフィルタの前後差圧を調べ、その前後差圧の時間変化に基づいて、上記PMの堆積量の低下率が所定値よりも小さくなった時点を特定し、その時点で上記燃料噴射手段によるポスト噴射の実行を停止させることにより、上記フィルタ再生処理によるPMの燃焼量がフィルタ再生処理を開始した時点でのPMの堆積量よりも所定量少ない段階で上記ポスト噴射を中断し、
上記のようにPM燃焼量がPM堆積量よりも少ない段階でポスト噴射を中断する通常のフィルタ再生処理が複数回繰り返され、フィルタ再生処理の初期段階におけるPM堆積量の低下率が所定値よりも小さくなった場合に、次のフィルタ再生処理時に、PM燃焼量がPM堆積量と略同じになるまで上記燃料噴射手段にポスト噴射を継続させる完全フィルタ再生処理を実行することを特徴とするパティキュレートフィルタ再生装置。 - 請求項1記載のパティキュレートフィルタ再生装置において、
上記排ガス温度調整手段は、上記完全フィルタ再生処理を実行する際に、上記パティキュレートフィルタに流入する排ガスの温度が通常のフィルタ再生処理時の排ガス温度よりも高くなるように上記燃料噴射手段を制御することを特徴とするパティキュレートフィルタ再生装置。
