以下では表示信号線(G1-Gn、D0-Dm)という表現を併用し、これはゲート信号(走査信号とも言う)を伝達する複数のゲート線(G1-Gn)とデータ信号を伝達する複数のデータ線(D0-Dm)の総称として用いられる。ゲート線(G1-Gn)は行方向(横)に伸びていて互いに平行配置されており、データ線(D0-Dm)は列方向(縦)に伸びていて互いに平行配置されている。
したがって、一連のエッチング段階を通じて複数のデータ線171、複数のドレーン電極175a、175b及び複数の結合電極177を形成し複数の線状及び島型抵抗性接触部材161、165a、165b、167及び複数の線状半導体151、167を形成する。

Claims (10)
- 行方向に配置されている複数のゲート線と、
列方向に配置され、前記ゲート線と交差して互いに平行な複数のデータ線と、
前記ゲート線及び前記データ線と連結されている複数の画素電極とを含み、
前記画素電極は第1及び第2の側面に前記データ線が隣接し、
列方向に互いに隣接した画素電極は、前記第1または前記第2の側面のデータ線に少なくとも一つの行単位に交互に連結されており、
行方向に隣接した画素電極は互いに異なる極性のデータ信号が印加され、列方向に隣接した画素電極には同一極性のデータ信号が印加されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記各画素は二つの小画素を含み、前記小画素の各々は一つのスイッチング素子を備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素のうちの列方向に隣接した二つの画素が容量性結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 複数の行と複数の列からなる行列形態で配列されている複数の画素、複数のゲート線、そして複数のデータ線を備える液晶表示板組立体を含み、
前記データ線の本数は、前記列の本数より少なくとも一つ多く、
前記複数のデータ線は前記液晶表示板組立体内で分離されており、
前記複数のデータ線のうち、行方向での一番目のデータ線と最後のデータ線とは互いに連結されており、
前記各画素は一つのゲート線に連結されていて二つのデータ線に隣接しており、
前記各列の画素は前記隣接した二つのデータ線に少なくとも一つの行を単位にして交互に連結されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記画素は二つの小画素を含み、前記小画素の各々は一つのスイッチング素子を備えることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記列方向に隣接した二つの画素は容量性結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記行方向での一番目のデータ線と前記最後のデータ線には同一極性のデータ信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データ線に各々連結された複数の出力端子を有し前記一番目のデータ線と前記最後のデータ線に電気的に連結されている第1出力端子を有する第1駆動ICを含む複数のデータ駆動ICをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データ駆動ICを駆動する回路要素が備えられている印刷回路基板と、
前記印刷回路基板と前記液晶表示板組立体を連結し、前記データ駆動ICが装着されており、前記第1駆動ICの第1出力端子と連結されている第1信号線及び前記一番目のデータ線に連結されている第2信号線を備える第1及び第2可撓性印刷回路基板をさらに含み、
前記印刷回路基板には、前記第1及び第2信号線とを電気的に連結する第3信号線が備えられており、前記第1出力端子は前記第1信号線、第2信号線及び第3信号線を介して前記一番目のデータ線と電気的に連結されていることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 映像信号と前記映像信号を制御する制御信号を前記データ駆動ICに供給する信号制御部をさらに含み、
前記信号制御部は第1列の画素のうち前記一番目のデータ線に連結されている画素に対する映像信号は最後に供給し、
第1列の画素のうち二番目のデータ線に連結されている画素に対する映像信号は最初に供給することを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
