Description
Claims (6)
- 各気筒に2個の点火プラグを備えるエンジンにおいて、
各気筒における2個の点火プラグのうち第1の点火プラグを含む点火プラグの第1のグループの点火時期を制御する第1の点火時期制御手段であって、各気筒における2個の点火プラグのうち第1の点火プラグだけを制御するように構成された第1の点火時期制御手段を備える第1のコントローラと、
各気筒における2個の点火プラグのうち第2の点火プラグを含む点火プラグの第2のグループの点火時期を制御する第2の点火時期制御手段であって、各気筒における2個の点火プラグのうち第2の点火プラグだけを制御するように構成された第2の点火時期制御手段を備える第2のコントローラと、
を備える点火制御装置であって、
前記第1および第2の点火時期制御手段は、少なくとも一つの気筒で1個の点火プラグしか使用しない場合に、所定のパラメータにしたがって使用される点火プラグの点火時期を補正することを特徴とする点火制御装置。 - 前記第1および第2のコントローラは、コントローラが正常に機能しているかどうかを互いに監視する第1および第2の監視部をそれぞれ備え、コントローラの一つが正常に機能していないと判断された場合に、正常に機能していると判断されたコントローラの前記第1および第2の点火時期制御手段のうちのいずれかは、正常に機能していると判断されたコントローラによって制御される点火プラグの前記第1及び第2のグループのいずれかのみを使用し、所定のパラメータにしたがって点火時期を補正することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の点火制御装置。
- 前記第1および第2のコントローラは、各気筒の第1および第2の点火プラグの失火を検出する第1および第2の失火検出部をさらに備え、前記第1および第2の点火時期制御手段は、前記第1および第2の失火検出部のいずれかによって少なくとも一つの気筒で一方の点火プラグの失火が検出された場合に、前記一方のプラグを使用せず、他方の点火プラグの点火時期を、所定のパラメータにしたがって点火時期を補正することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の点火制御装置。
- 前記第1および第2の点火時期制御手段は、エンジン回転数および吸気圧をパラメータとするマップによって点火時期の補正を行うことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の点火制御装置。
- 前記第1および第2の点火時期制御手段は、エンジン回転数および吸気圧によって定まる点火時期を、2個の点火プラグを使用する場合に比較して、所定量進めるように補正すること特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の点火制御装置。
- 前記第1および第2の点火時期制御手段は、前記エンジンのノックが検出された場合に、ノックが検出されない限界の進角まで点火時期を遅らせること特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の点火制御装置。
