Claims (2)
- ゴム材に磁性体粉を加えた材料からなる磁気エンコーダを備え、互いに相対回転する内方部材および外方部材との間に形成される環状空間を密封するシール装置において、
前記内方部材の周面に嵌合する円筒部と、前記円筒部から軸方向外側であって径方向へ延出する内径側の保護用フランジ部および外径側のシール用フランジ部が形成される非磁性材製のスリーブを有し、前記磁気エンコーダがその軸方向外側を覆うように延びる前記保護用フランジ部の内側面に加硫接着されると共に前記内方部材の軸方向端面に形成された凹部内に密接状態に配置され、前記シール用フランジ部には前記外方部材側に固定されたシールリップが摺接することを特徴とするシール装置。 - 磁気エンコーダが内側面に加硫接着された保護用フランジ部は、その外側面の軸方向位置が、内方部材の軸方向端面の位置より軸方向内側に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシール装置。
