Description
フォルステライトおよびチタン酸カルシウムの含有モル比が、2MgO・SiO 2 換算およびCaTiO 3 換算で、フォルステライト:チタン酸カルシウム=93.0:7.0〜99.0:1.0である主成分と、
副成分として、前記主成分100質量%に対して、Al 2 O 3 換算で、0.2〜5質量%含有される酸化アルミニウムと、からなることを特徴とする。
副成分として、前記主成分100質量%に対して、Al 2 O 3 換算で、0.2〜5質量%含有される酸化アルミニウムおよびCo 3 O 4 換算で、0.1〜1.2質量%含有される酸化コバルトと、からなることを特徴とする。

本発明の誘電体磁器組成物は、主成分としてフォルステライト(2MgO・SiO2)とチタン酸カルシウム(CaTiO3)とを含み、副成分として酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)を含んでいる。
一方、主成分としてのフォルステライトの含有量が多すぎる(チタン酸カルシウムの含有量が少なすぎる)と、焼結不足になる傾向にある。
以下、本実施形態の誘電体磁器組成物の製造方法について具体的に説明する。
まず、フォルステライト(2MgO・SiO2)の原料として、MgCO3およびSiO2を準備した。このMgCO3とSiO2とを、モル比が2:1となるように秤量し、さらに合計で0.8質量%のSrCO3およびMnCO3を加え、ボールミルにて6時間湿式混合し、乾燥した。乾燥後の粉体を、1000〜1200℃、2〜5時間の条件で、仮焼成し、仮焼成後の粉体をボールミルで湿式粉砕し、乾燥させて、平均粒径2.0〜2.5μmのフォルステライト原料粉体とした。
焼結体を、直径10.0×高さ5.0mmの円柱状に加工し、測定器として、ネットワークアナライザー8510B、シンセサイザースイーパー8341B、パラメータテストセット8516A(いずれも、ヒューレットパッカード社製)を用いて、両端短絡法により、比誘電率(単位なし)を算出した。評価基準は、8.5以下を良好とした。結果を表1に示す。
比誘電率の測定条件と同条件下で、Q値を算出し、これに共振周波数frを掛けて、Qf値を求めた。Qf値は、高い方が好ましい。評価基準は、20000GHz以上を良好とした。結果を表1に示す。
τf値は、両端短絡法により、各試料を、−40℃、20℃、80℃に保たれた恒温漕にセットして、共振周波数frを測定した。得られた値を、[(Fr80℃−Fr−40℃)/Fr20℃]/120×IE6(ppm/℃)に代入して、τf値を算出した。τf値は0に近いほど好ましい。評価基準は、±30ppm/℃以内を良好とした。結果を表1に示す。
主成分組成を試料6と同じとし、主成分原料に対し、副成分としてのAl2O3が表2に示す組成比となるように秤量配合した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、誘電体磁器組成物原料を作製した。作製した誘電体磁器組成物原料を用いて、実施例1と同様に誘電体磁器組成物を作製して実施例1と同様の評価を行った。結果を表2に示す。
得られた焼結体から寸法が16.0×4.5×0.8mmの試験片を作製し、ピッチが15mm、クロスヘッド速度が0.5mm/minの条件で、3点曲げ試験を行った。結果を表2に示す。評価基準として、試料ごとに試験片を8本作製し、その平均値が100MPa以上を良好とした。
副成分として、さらに、Co3O4を表3に示す組成比となるように秤量配合した以外は、試料6と同じ組成とし、実施例1と同様にして、誘電体磁器組成物を作製して実施例1と同様の評価を行った。結果を表3に示す。また、この焼結体の耐還元性を以下に示す方法で測定した。
得られた焼結体を、N2−100%(pO2=10ppm)の還元雰囲気中で、800℃−10minの条件で還元処理した。処理前と処理後の試料について、実施例1と同様の周波数温度係数τf値を評価した。そして、還元処理前の試料のτf値と、還元処理後の試料のτf値との変化量および変化率を算出した。評価基準として、変化率が65%以内を良好とした。結果を表4および図3に示す。なお、図3においては、白丸が還元処理前のτf値を示し、黒い菱形が還元処理後のτf値を示している。

副成分として、前記主成分100質量%に対して、Al 2 O 3 換算で、0.2〜5質量%含有される酸化アルミニウムおよびCo 3 O 4 換算で、0.1〜1.2質量%含有される酸化コバルトと、からなることを特徴とする誘電体磁器組成物。 - 請求項1または2に記載の誘電体磁器組成物で構成された誘電体層を有するアンテナ素子。
- 請求項1または2に記載の誘電体磁器組成物で構成された誘電体層を有するフィルタ素子。
