Description
本発明は、疎水性型ケイ素原子含有処理剤および官能性型ケイ素原子含有処理剤からなる処理剤を含有する処理組成物による、沈降炭酸カルシウム充填材の表面の処理に関する。これらの処理剤をニートプロセスにより充填材の表面に塗布する。
いずれのタイプの沈降炭酸カルシウムを用いることができるが、大きな表面積を有する沈降炭酸カルシウムであることが好ましい。特に好ましい材料は、20m2/gの比表面積を有する菱面体方解石である。そのような材料は、ソルベー・インテロックス社(Solvay Interox)(テキサス州ヒューストン)からソルベー社の商標であるSOCAL31(登録商標)の名の下で商業ベースで一般に入手可能である。
処理組成物のこの成分は、ビス(アルコキシシリル)ポリスルフィドを含有する。用いることができるビス(アルコキシシリルアルキル)ポリスルフィドのいくつかの一般例には、トリアルコキシ基がトリメトキシ、トリエトキシ、トリ(メチルエトキシ)、トリプロポキシ、トリブトキシ、またはトリオクチルオキシからなり、かつ、ポリスルフィドがジスルフィド、トリスルフィド、テトラスルフィド、ペンタスルフィド、またはヘキサスルフィドであるビス(2−トリアルコキシシリルエチル)ポリスルフィドが含まれる。対応するビス(3−トリアルコキシシリルプロピル)−、ビス(3−トリアルコキシシリルイソブチル)−、ビス(4−トリアルコキシシリルブチル)−、またはビス(6−トリアルコキシシリルヘキシル)ポリスルフィドも用いることができる。ビス(3−トリメトキシ−、−トリエトキシ−、および−トリプロポキシシリルプロピル)ポリスルフィド;すなわち、ジスルフィド、トリスルフィド、またはテトラスルフィドを含む有機シランが最も好ましい。
本発明の別の実施態様では、処理組成物の官能性型成分は、ビス(アルコキシシリルアルキル)ポリスルフィドに代えてメルカプト有機ケイ素化合物を含有する。
処理組成物の疎水性型成分は、次式:
本発明の代替の実施態様では、処理組成物の疎水性型成分は、上記のポリ有機水素シロキサンに代えてシラノール末端シリコーンオリゴマーを含有することができる。シラノール末端シリコーンオリゴマーは次式:

Claims (6)
- 組成物重量の5〜95重量パーセントのケイ素原子含有疎水性型処理剤および5〜95重量パーセントのケイ素原子含有官能性型処理剤からなる、沈降炭酸カルシウム充填材粒子に塗布するための処理組成物であって、該疎水性型処理剤はポリ有機水素シロキサンまたはシラノール末端シリコーンオリゴマーであり、該官能性型処理剤はビス(アルコキシシリルアルキル)ポリスルフィドまたはメルカプト有機ケイ素化合物である、該処理組成物。
- 前記官能性型処理剤はビス[3−(トリエトキシシリル)−プロピル]テトラスルフィドまたは3−メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシランである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の処理組成物で処理された沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子を含む充填材。
- 請求項3に記載の充填材を含有するゴムを含む有機タイヤゴム。
- 充填剤である沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子の処理方法であって、充填材粒子の重量に基づいて1〜15重量パーセントの請求項1に定義された処理組成物を、充填材粒子に塗布することを含む、該方法。
- 前記官能性型処理剤はビス[3−(トリエトキシシリル)−プロピル]テトラスルフィドまたは3−メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシランである、請求項5に記載の方法。
