Description
(実施例)
6.5mm×15.7mm、厚さ10mmの鋼材(マンガン鋼38MnS6:DIN規格)を準備し、6.5mm×15.7mmの表面に炭素粉末を圧粉成形した炭素材を鋼材に5MPaの圧力条件で押圧して接触させた状態で、炉内に投入し、1150℃(鋳鉄の共晶点の温度以上)の温度条件で、15分間加熱し、鋳鉄組織層の層厚み300μmの鉄系複合材料を製作した。
<組織観察>
鉄系複合材料の組織を顕微鏡で観察した。その結果を図7に示す。
<表面硬さ試験>
鉄系複合材料の鋳鉄組織層が形成された表面から、0.1mmごとに、ビッカース試験機を用いて、試験荷重500gで鉄系複合材料の表面硬さを測定した。この結果を図8に示す。
<摩耗試験>
図9に示す摩耗試験機を用いて、鉄系複合材料の摩耗量を測定した。具体的には、浴槽60に、潤滑油(JWS3090)100ccを投入し、直径35mm、厚さ10mmのリング試験片(SAE4620)50を、浴槽60内に配置し、鉄系複合材からなるブロック状の試験片(ブロック試験片)40の6.5mm×15.7mmの面をリング試験片50の側面に10kgfで押し当てた。そして、リング試験片50とブロック試験片40との押し当てた箇所に前記潤滑油が供給されるように、リング試験片を160rpmで15分間回転させ、ブロック試験片40の摩耗深さを測定した。このような試験を2回行った。この結果を図10に示す。
実施例と同じ寸法のねずみ鋳鉄材(FC23:JIS規格)を準備した。そして、実施例と同様に組織観察を行った。この結果を図11に示す。また、実施例と同じ条件で摩耗試験を行った。この結果を、図10に示す。
図7及び図11に示すように、実施例の鉄系複合材料は、フェライトパーライト組織からなる鋼組織層と、片状黒鉛を含むねずみ鋳鉄組織層と、鋼組織層と鋳鉄組織層との間に鋼組織を浸炭した浸炭組織層と、を確認することができた。また、比較例の部材には、片状黒鉛が確認された。
図8の結果の組織観察の結果と図9の表面硬さ試験の結果から、鋳鉄組織層は平均の表面硬さHv230であり、浸炭組織層はHv300であり、鋼組織層はHv220であった。
図10に示すように、比較例に比べ実施例の摩耗深さは、約1/3程度であった。
比較例に比べて実施例のほうが摩耗し難かった理由としては、以下の二点が考えられる。第一に、鋳鉄組織層と鋼組織層との間に、前記鋼組織層を浸炭した浸炭組織層を有することにより、浸炭組織層は、鋳鉄組織層及び鋼組織層に比べて硬度が高いので、鋳鉄組織層を表面層に有した場合には、鋳鉄組織層のバックアップ材として作用するため、比較例よりも実施例の方が摩耗し難かったと考えられる。第二に、実施例の鋳鉄組織層の表面は、製造時には炭素材と接触していたため、比較例の鋳鉄材に比べて炭素含有量が多いと考えられ、比較例よりも実施例の方が摩耗し難いと考えられる。
Claims (11)
- 鋼材の鋼組織の少なくとも一部の表面に炭素材を接触させ、
該接触させた状態を維持しつつ前記鋼材を炉内に配置して、鋳鉄の共晶点の温度以上の温度条件で前記鋼材を加熱することにより、前記鋼組織に前記炭素材の炭素を固溶拡散させて、前記表面に鋳鉄組織を有した鋳鉄組織層を形成したことを特徴とする鉄系複合材料。 - 前記鉄系複合材料は、鋼組織層と、鋳鉄組織層と、前記鋼組織層と前記鋳鉄組織層との間に鋼組織を浸炭した浸炭組織層と、を少なくとも備えており、前記浸炭組織層は、前記鋼組織層から前記鋳鉄組織層の方向に沿って、炭素の含有量が傾斜的に増加していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鉄系複合材料。
- 請求項1または2に記載の鉄系複合材料を含むディスクロータであって、該ディスクロータは、その制動面を含む表面層として、少なくとも前記鋳鉄組織層を有することを特徴とするディスクロータ。
- 請求項1または2に記載の鉄系複合材料を含む制振鋼板であって、該制振鋼板は、その板厚方向の中間層として、少なくとも前記鋳鉄組織層を有することを特徴とする制振鋼板。
- 請求項1または2に記載の鉄系複合材料を含む鋼管であって、該鋼管は、その外周面又は内周面の少なくとも一方の表面層として、少なくとも前記鋳鉄組織層を有することを特徴とする鋼管。
- 鋼材の鋼組織の少なくとも一部の表面に炭素材を接触させる工程と、
該接触させた状態を維持しつつ前記鋼材を炉内に配置して、鋳鉄の共晶点の温度以上の温度条件で前記鋼材を加熱することにより、前記鋼組織に前記炭素材の炭素を固溶拡散させて、前記表面に鋳鉄組織を有した鋳鉄組織層を形成する工程と、
を少なくとも含むことを特徴とする鉄系複合材料の製造方法。 - 前記加熱工程において、前記加熱を不活性ガス雰囲気下で行うことを特徴とする請 求項6に記載の鉄系複合材料の製造方法。
- 前記加熱工程において、押圧手段により前記炭素材を前記鋼材の表面に押圧しながら前記接触状態を維持することを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の鉄系複合材料の製造方法。
- 前記製造方法は、前記加熱工程後の部材に対して、前記鋼組織の熱処理を行う工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれかに記載の鉄系複合材料の製造方法。
- 前記接触工程において、前記鋼組織の前記炭素材の接触面に、さらにマグネシウムおよびマグネシウム合金の粉末のうち少なくとも一種の粉末を配置し、前記加熱工程において、前記鋳鉄組織として球状黒鉛鋳鉄組織を有した鋳鉄組織層を形成することを特徴とする請求項6〜9のいずれかに記載の鉄系複合材料の製造方法。
- 請求項6〜10のいずれかに記載の鉄系複合材料の製造方法を含むディスクロータの製造方法であって、前記接触工程において、前記ディスクロータの少なくとも制動面に前記炭素材を接触させ、前記加熱工程において、前記加熱を少なくとも前記制動面に行うことを特徴とするディスクロータの製造方法。
