Claims (3)
- Nビットのデジタル値をピクセルに割当てるディザリング方法であって、画像信号がNより大きいMビットのピクセル値を有し、(M−N)ビットの擬似ランダム数の2つがそれぞれ反転されて、互いに反転した2つの対の擬似ランダム数が、4つの連続する水平ピクセルの赤、緑及び青のMビットのピクセル値にそれぞれ加えられ、この加算の結果がNビットで丸められるディザリング方法において、
4つの連続する水平ピクセルのうちの2組のそれぞれ隣り合うピクセルの同じ色同士の各ピクセル値に加えられる前記擬似ランダム数が互いに対して反転し、これら4つの擬似ランダム数のうちの3つが、同じピクセルの赤、緑及び青に対するピクセル値に加えられる、ディザリング方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法を実施するための装置であって、表示部材と、表示部材に接続された電子部品とを有し、前記電子部品は既定数のビットの擬似ランダム数を供給するためのノイズ発生器と、ランダム値の付加を入力ビデオ成分に加えて丸めるための加算且つ丸め手段とを有する、装置。
- 前記表示部材がプラズマディスプレイパネルである、請求項2に記載の装置。
