Description
Claims (10)
- 混在する結晶の体積の増加による、特に硫化ニッケル混在物のα相からβ相への転移による体積増加による、強化ガラスの試験片の自発破壊(熱ソーク試験)のおそれをなくす目的で、強化後のガラスを少なくとも前記結晶の体積増加を加速する温度に規定時間維持する、強化ガラスを熱処理する方法において、前記強化ガラスの温度を、
a)存在するα−NiS混在物におけるβ相の核形成に対応する所謂核形成温度範囲内の80〜200℃の第1の温度範囲にし、前記第1の温度範囲に近づくときの温度変化は2K/分より大きく、そして、前記第1の温度範囲内では、少なくとも5分間、温度変化を上記より実質的に遅いか一定の温度とし、それから
b)追加の熱処理として、250℃以上の温度であって、少なくとも結晶の体積の増加を促進する温度を採用することを特徴とする、強化ガラスを熱処理する方法。 - 前記第1の温度範囲を100〜180℃の範囲にすることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の温度範囲を130〜160℃の範囲にすることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- ガラスの温度を、より低い出発温度から加熱することによって、前記第1の温度範囲にすることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- ガラスの温度を、ガラスが熱的に強化された後、より高い出発温度から制御された冷却により、前記第1の温度範囲にすることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記追加の熱処理において、ガラスを形成する結晶または結晶質相の成長速度が最大となる温度領域にすることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- ガラスの温度を、前記第1の温度範囲から、2K/分より大きい変化により、前記追加の熱処理の250℃以上の温度領域にすることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の方法。
- ガラスの温度を、前記追加の熱処理において、少なくとも15分間、形成する結晶または結晶質相の成長速度が最大となる温度範囲にすることを特徴とする、請求項6または7に記載の方法。
- ガラスの温度を、前記追加の熱処理のために、280〜300℃の範囲にすることを特徴とする、請求項6〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ガラスの温度を、前記第1の温度範囲内の80〜200℃の範囲内の温度に少なくとも5分間保持し、次いで、2K/分より大きい温度変化速度で昇温し、前記追加の熱処理の温度に対応する温度領域において形成する結晶または結晶質相の成長速度が最大となる温度領域に少なくとも15分間保持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
