Description
この発明は身体の管腔を検査するための装置および方法に関する。該装置および方法は、とりわけ身体の管腔の形態における異常の検出において有用である。
体内の管状器官は入り組んだ腔形態を有し得る。たとえば胃腸管は口腔から始まり、食道、胃、十二指腸、および小腸へと進むが、この小腸は腹部内に嵌まるように何度も折り返される長い管である。小腸は大腸に接続されるが、これは小さな袋状の膨出部である盲腸で始まり、次いで上行結腸、横行結腸、下行結腸、およびS字(S字型)結腸から直腸へと続く。これらの身体の管腔は、管腔の解剖学的構造または形態に影響を与え得る病変を被るおそれがある。たとえば、正常な形態の管腔が狭くなることまたは閉鎖することである狭窄は、石灰化または瘢痕組織もしくは腫瘍の存在により引き起こされ得る。食道の狭窄は慢性胃食道逆流症(GERD)の一般的な合併症である。急性の、食道の完全閉塞は、食物が食道の狭窄部につかえた場合に起こり得る。通常、食物を回収して閉塞を軽減するために内視鏡が用いられる。

この発明の実施例は、身体の管腔の生体内検査のための装置および方法を提供する。この発明の一実施例においては、安全で簡単な非侵襲性テスタおよび身体の管腔の形態をテストする方法が提供される。また、この発明の実施例に従って提供されるのは、身体の管腔における形態上の異常を検出するための装置および方法である。形態上の異常は、GI管内の狭窄のような、身体の管腔における臨床的/解剖学的異常を含み得る。別の実施例に従うと、この発明はGI管内の運動性をテストするための装置および方法を提供する。
従うと、発生した信号の検出は、電磁界を生成して、第1の周波数を有する誘導電界を誘導し、次いで監視ユニットから第2の周波数を有する信号を受けることにより行なわれ得る。第2の周波数を有する信号は、電磁信号または音響信号であり得る。他の信号も検出され得る。

対するテスト装置は、たとえば、初期には各々が数μmから数mm厚さである外側コーティングと内側充填材とを有し得る。典型的には、外側コーティングは内側充填材よりも薄い層である。いくつかの実施例に従うと、外側コーティングは装置に機械的な強さを付与し、装置の形状および寸法を、装置の初期の段階を通して一定に保つように設計される。コーティングは、内側充填材と管腔内環境のような環境との間のバリアとしての役割も果たす。コーティングは典型的には、本質的に生体内条件下で耐久性のある(すなわち、腐食または解体しない)、不浸透性のまたはわずかに浸透性の材料または材料の組み合わせの層、または複数の層である。内側充填材は、一実施例においては1つ以上の層、懸濁、液体または気体であり得るが、典型的には小さな粒子または分子から構成され、かつ、たとえばイオンソースまたはシンクとしての役割を果たすことにより、装置内で圧力を生成し得る。充填材はまた、たとえば装置にさらなる機械的安定性を与えるために、接着剤およびフィラーをも含み得る。

前記テスト装置は、生体内に存在するときに、予め定められた期間である設定期間の間は第1長尺体であり、
前記設定期間の後は、前記第1長尺体が潰れるかまたは解体することによって、径方向に小型化した第2長尺体になることを特徴とする、テスト装置。 - 身体の管腔をテストするための装置であるテスト装置であって、前記テスト装置は、
