Claims (9)
- 熱可塑性プラスチック材のブロー成形品からなる中空本体と該中空本体の内部を満たした発泡体充填物とを備えてなる自動車用緩衝部材としての衝撃エネルギー吸収体であって、前記中空本体が複数の閉鎖チャンバー(4a,4b,4c,4d)からなる分画区画を形成し、これら閉鎖チャンバーの内部が前記発泡体充填物で満たされ、少なくとも一部の閉鎖チャンバー内の発泡体充填物が他の閉鎖チャンバー内の発泡体充填物に対して異なる衝撃エネルギー吸収能を有しているものにおいて、
各閉鎖チャンバーがそれぞれ別々の管状プレフォームからブロー成形された個別の壁で囲まれている独立閉鎖空間を形成し、これら独立閉鎖空間がそれぞれ発泡体樹脂で満たされた状態で一体構造の分画区画断面を形成して、互いに隣接する閉鎖チャンバーの個々の壁同士が重なって分画区画間の二重隔壁を形成しており、前記複数の閉鎖チャンバーのうち、自動車側の支持構造に取り付けられるべき固定要素を有する閉鎖チャンバー(4d)が吸収体全長に亘って延在する堅固な支持体(5)を構成し、該支持体(5)を構成する閉鎖チャンバー(4d)の前面にそれぞれ吸収体長手方向のほぼ全長に亘り並行して延在する複数段の別の閉鎖チャンバー(4a,4b,4c)が形成され、これら複数段の閉鎖チャンバーが互いに衝撃エネルギー吸収能の異なる複数段の緩衝領域を形成して吸収体取付姿勢における上下方向に並行配置され、これら上下方向に並行配置された複数段の緩衝領域の強度が下方に位置するものほど増加されていることを特徴とする衝撃エネルギー吸収体。 - 少なくとも2つの閉鎖チャンバー(4a,4b,4c,4d)が互いに密度の異なる発泡体充填物で満たされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 発泡体充填物が粒子状又は微小ビーズ状発泡樹脂からなることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 中空本体が壁厚の異なる複数の領域を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 前記支持体(5)の前面に形成された複数段の閉鎖チャンバー(4a,4b,4c)の壁厚が前記支持体(5)を構成する閉鎖チャンバー(4d)の壁厚より薄いことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 中空本体とその発泡体充填物が同じ樹脂種類のプラスチック材からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 発泡体充填物の密度が30〜200kg/m3の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 複数段の別の閉鎖チャンバー(4a,4b,4c)が互いに衝撃エネルギー吸収能の異なる上下3段の緩衝領域を形成し、最下段の緩衝領域を形成する閉鎖チャンバー(4a)が密度50〜80kg/m3の発泡体充填物で満たされ、中段の緩衝領域を形成する閉鎖チャンバー(4b)が密度40〜60kg/m3の発泡体充填物で満たされ、最上段の緩衝領域を形成する閉鎖チャンバー(4c)が密度30〜50kg/m3の発泡体充填物で満たされ、支持体(5)を構成する閉鎖チャンバー(4d)が密度80〜200kg/m3の発泡体充填物で満たされていることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
- 発泡体充填物が粒子状発泡ポリプロピレン(EPP)からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の衝撃エネルギー吸収体。
