の関係を少なくとも満たす必要がある。これはアンテナがダイポールアンテナとして機能することを保障するためである。仮にW=2(L+T)であったとすると、アンテナはもはやダイポールアンテナではなくなり、ループアンテナとして機能することになる。本実施例で想定されている諸条件の下では、インダクタによるインピーダンス調整後のアンテナのインピーダンスは、図5に示されるようなスミスチャートの第1象限(I)に収まるべきである。図中白丸印はインピーダンス調整前のダイポールアンテナ(W<2(L+T))のインピーダンスを示す。線要素の分岐点Cの位置を変化させることでインダクタンスを変化させると、図中矢印で示されるようにインピーダンスが変化する。これに対して、ループアンテナのインピーダンスは第2象限(II)に属し、図中×印のような点に対応する。このアンテナに対して分岐点Cの位置を変化させてインダクタンスを変えても図中矢印で示されるようにしかインピーダンスは変化しない。このため、ループアンテナではインピーダンスを第1象限内に収めることは困難である。

である。ωは角周波数である。図8の線要素BC及びGF間の距離Sを変化させ、アンテナのインダクタンスLapを調整し、上記の関係が満たされるようにすることで、アンテナ及び給電回路のインピーダンスを整合させることができる。
Claims (7)
- 端部が接地導体に接続され、電気的な閉ループを形成し、ダイポールアンテナを構成する第1の線路と、
前記第1の線路上の分岐点及び接地導体間に接続された給電回路と、
一端が前記分岐点に接続され、他端が前記第1の線路上の別の分岐点と接続されることで、前記給電回路に並列に設けられるインダクタを構成する第2の線路とを備え、
前記接地導体は、当該RFタグが同行する物体の金属面に接続されることを特徴とするRFタグ。 - 前記第1及び第2の線路が、所定の誘電率を有するスペーサ材料に設けられる
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のRFタグ。 - 前記第1及び第2の線路が、直方体の辺に沿う形状を有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のRFタグ。 - 前記第1及び第2の線路に流れる電流のイメージ電流が前記接地導体に流れるように、前記第1及び第2の線路が形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のRFタグ。 - 接地導体に接続された平行な第1の線路要素の対と該対に直交する平行な第2の線路要素の対とで前記第1及び第2の線路が形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のRFタグ。 - 前記第2の線路要素の対が延在する長さは、前記第1の線路要素の対が延在する長さの2倍より短い
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のRFタグ。 - 前記第ダイポールアンテナ及び前記給電回路のインピーダンスが整合するように、前記分岐点の位置が調整される
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のRFタグ。
