Claims (8)
- ナビゲーション装置の経路情報の開始点における初期位置決定方法において、
閾値以上のGPS信号の強度で受信されるGPS(Global Positioning System)衛星の総数を算出するステップと、
地図データDBに基づき、道路中央線を基準とした左右に少なくとも2領域に区分するステップと、
前記算出されたGPS衛星の総数から前記2領域でのGPS衛星の数を算出するステップと、
前記各領域でのGPS衛星の数を比較した結果に従い、前記ナビゲーション装置が前記2領域のどちらに位置するかを決定するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記位置を決定するステップは、
前記各領域でのGPS衛星の数を比較するステップと、
前記比較の結果、大きい値を持つ領域の反対側に前記ナビゲーション装置が位置していることを決定するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記大きい値を持つ領域で算出されるGPS衛星の数は、少なくとも3個以上であること
を特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも2領域でのGPS衛星の数を算出するステップは、
地図データDBに基づき、真北を基準として、道路に対する角度及びそれぞれのGPS衛星に対する方位角を算出するステップと、
前記算出された道路に対する角度を利用して、それぞれの領域に対する範囲を決定するステップと、
前記算出されたGPS衛星に対する方位角が、当該領域に対する範囲内に含まれるかを判断するステップと、
仮に、当該GPS衛星に対して算出された方位角が、与えられた領域に対して当該領域の範囲内に含まれると、前記与えられた領域に位置したGPS衛星であると判断するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記2領域の何れか一つは、前記道路に対する角度より大きく、前記道路に対する角度+180゜より小さい範囲に該当する領域であること
を特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記範囲内に前記算出されたGPS衛星に対する方位角が含まれるかを判断するステップは、それぞれの当該GPS衛星に対する方位角が、道路に対する角度より大きくて、道路に対する角度+180゜より小さいかを判断するステップであること
を特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。 - HDOP(Horizontal Dilution Of Precision)を利用して前記位置の誤差を推定するステップと、
前記推定した誤差値が、前記道路中央線から歩道までの距離を超過するかを判断するステップと、
前記判断の結果、超過する場合に受信されるGPS信号の強度を測定するステップと、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記道路中央線から歩道までの距離は、地図データDBに格納された道路の車線数に基づいて計算されること
を特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
