Description
請求項1に記載の発明は、内燃機関の排気管に配設された排気浄化触媒よりも上流側の排気管に空気を供給する2次空気供給手段を備え、前記排気浄化触媒の暖機時に前記空気の供給を行う内燃機関の排気浄化触媒暖機システムにおいて、大気圧を検出する大気圧検出手段と、前記排気浄化触媒の暖機時に、前記大気圧検出手段によって検出された大気圧が高いほど燃料増量の度合いが小さくなる補正を行う燃料補正手段とを備えることを特徴とする。
ここで、図2に示される一連の処理は、機関制御ユニット100により所定の制御周期をもって繰り返し実行される。この処理ではまず、機関起動後に内燃機関2の運転状態に基づいて燃料噴射量の基準値Qbaseを算出する(S100)。
次に、燃料噴射量の基準値Qbase、暖機増量ベース値Abase及び補正係数Fadjに基づいて下記の式(1)を通じて最終燃料噴射量Qinjを算出する(S160)。
Qinj←Qbase+Abase・Fadj ・・・(1)
そして、ステップ170では、算出された最終燃料噴射量Qinjで燃料を噴射し(S170)、本処理を一旦終了する。尚、上述したステップS130〜ステップS160が本実施形態の燃料補正手段としての処理に相当する。
(1)実大気圧Prが低いほど補正係数Fadjを大きく設定するため、実大気圧Prが低いほど排気浄化触媒33の暖機時において燃料噴射量の暖機増量が多くなる。そのため、排気管32における未燃成分が増加することによって再燃焼する未燃成分の量が増加する傾向が生じる。その結果、大気圧の低下に起因する再燃焼の発熱量の減少を抑制することができ、排気浄化触媒33を好適に早期活性化することができる。
・上記実施形態では、暖機増量ベース値Abaseの補正係数Fadjを変更することにより、燃焼室10への燃料噴射量を変更して、排気管32で燃焼する未燃成分の量を変更するようにしている。これに対して、例えば排気管32に燃料添加弁を配設し、この燃料添加弁を介して排気管32に燃料を直接添加する構造を採用することもできる。
・上記実施形態では、暖機増量ベース値Abaseに補正係数Fadjを掛けることにより暖機増量を算出したが、大気圧が高いほど燃料増量の度合いが小さくなる補正、あるいは大気圧が低いほど燃料増量の度合いが大きくなる補正を含むのであれば、これらを区別することなく一度に暖機増量を算出してもよい。

- 内燃機関の排気管に配設された排気浄化触媒よりも上流側の排気管に空気を供給する2次空気供給手段を備え、前記排気浄化触媒の暖機時に前記空気の供給を行う内燃機関の排気浄化触媒暖機システムにおいて、
大気圧を検出する大気圧検出手段と、前記排気浄化触媒の暖機時に、前記大気圧検出手段によって検出された大気圧が高いほど燃料増量の度合いが小さくなる補正を行う燃料補正手段とを備える
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化触媒暖機システム。 - 内燃機関の排気管に配設された排気浄化触媒よりも上流側の排気管に空気を供給する2次空気供給手段を備え、前記排気浄化触媒の暖機時に前記空気の供給を行う内燃機関の排気浄化触媒暖機システムにおいて、
