Description
(b)増粘剤、スポンジ安定剤、カチオン捕獲剤、重合禁止剤及び膨潤促進剤として機能する固体物質:ベントナイトなどの吸水性粘土鉱物。
(c)地殻内の天然成分から得られるバラストや充填剤:長石、石英砂など。
鉱物性物質及び重合不能で水溶性の成分を、炭酸アルカリ及び/又は二酸化炭素を含有する水性スラリーとして提供する。この水性スラリーは鉱物性物質の凝集を避けるための酸化触媒をさらに含んでいてもよい。その後、水溶性でエチレン性不飽和酸基を有する単量体を、架橋剤及び場合によっては該単量体と共重合可能な単量体とともに添加する。その際、二酸化炭素が放出され、泡が発生する。発泡(二酸化炭素の生成)の終了後、重合反応が行われる。その後、得られた組成物を切断しシュレッダー又はミンサー(Fleischwolf)を用いて寸断する。
鉱物性物質及び重合不能の成分を、水酸化アルカリ、炭酸アルカリ及びケイ酸アルカリなどの酸中和用アルカリ物質を含有する水性スラリーとして提供する。ただし、該アルカリ物質は、エチレン性不飽和酸の最大40モル%が中和される量で溶けており、場合によっては、該アルカリ物質のさらなる量が親水性及び/又は多孔性の固体物質の中に含まれていてもよい。アルカリ物質の該さらなる量がモノマー溶液中の酸基と余りに速く反応するのを回避するために、アルカリ物質の該さらなる量はワックスなどの中に内蔵する。このようにして、重合前及び重合中において中和を時間的に遅らせることができ、その結果、スポンジ構造の形成が妨害なく起こり、60〜80モル%の中和度を達成するのに必要なアルカリ量が生成物の中に含まれる。後は、上記製造方法Iの場合と同様である。

Claims (23)
- 粉砕した鉱物性物質及び架橋重合体を含有する、細粒状で吸水性の土壌類似の組成物であって、該架橋重合体はスポンジ構造を有していて水又は水性液体とともにヒドロゲルを形成することができ、該鉱物性物質は該架橋重合体に結合していて、該鉱物性物質の含有量は該組成物の乾燥重量に対して少なくとも30重量%であることを特徴とし、また場合によっては固体又は液体の添加剤及び/又は水溶性ケイ酸アルカリをさらに含有していてもよい上記組成物。
- 該鉱物性物質が微細に粉砕した火成岩を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 該鉱物性物質が、SiO 2 含有率が50重量%未満の塩基性火成岩;SiO 2 含有率が50重量%を越える酸性火成岩;白亜、苦灰石、火山土、菱苦土石、及びこれらと酸単量体との間の二酸化炭素発生反応により得られる物質;吸水性粘土;並びに、長石及び石英砂からなる群より選ばれるものである少なくとも1種を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 該鉱物性物質が増粘剤、スポンジ安定剤、カチオン捕獲剤、重合禁止剤及び膨潤促進剤からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項2又は3に記載の組成物。
- 該添加剤が、藻類、靭皮、褐炭、大麻、木材、唐胡麻粉、無煙炭、麦藁、泥炭及び水不溶性又は水膨潤性の重合体からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 該架橋重合体が次の成分:
(a)55〜99.9重量%の、エチレン性不飽和の酸基を有する少なくとも1種の水溶性単量体、
(b)0〜40重量%の、上記単量体(a)と共重合可能な、水溶性でエチレン性不飽和の少なくとも1種の単量体、
(c)0.01〜5.0重量%の、少なくとも1種の架橋剤、及び
(d)0〜30重量%の、少なくとも1種の水溶性重合体
を包含することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の組成物。 - 該水溶性ケイ酸アルカリが、石英砂のアルカリ溶融により生成するケイ酸ナトリウム又はケイ酸カリウムであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 該添加剤が、カリウム含有肥料、窒素含有肥料、りん含有肥料及びケイ素含有肥料からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 該単量体(a)が、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、エタクリル酸、クロトン酸、ソルビン酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、イタコン酸、ビニルスルホン酸、アクリルアミドアルキルスルホン酸及びメタクリルアミドアルキルスルホン酸からなる群より選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の組成物。
- 該単量体(a)が、2−アクリルアミド−2−メチルプロパンスルホン酸、2−メチルアクリロイル−オキシエタンスルホン酸、4−ビニルベンゼンスルホン酸、アリルスルホン酸、ビニルトルエンスルホン酸、ビニルホスホン酸及びビニルベンゼンホスホン酸からなる群より選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の組成物。

- 該単量体(b)が、N−ビニルホルムアミド、N−ビニルアセトアミド、N−ビニル−N−メチルアセトアミド、N−ビニル−N−メチルホルムアミド、ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の組成物。
- 該単量体(a)から得られる重合体がカリウム塩であることを特徴とする、請求項6〜12のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 該鉱物性物質が、粒子サイズが200μm未満の溶岩、凝灰岩及び/又は輝縁岩であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 該鉱物性物質が、粒子サイズが100μm未満の溶岩、凝灰岩及び/又は輝縁岩であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 請求項1〜16のいずれかに記載の細粒状で吸水性の土壌類似の組成物の製造方法であって、
(1)粉砕された鉱物性物質に、アルカリ土類金属炭酸塩、アルカリ金属炭酸塩及び二酸化炭素からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種を含む水性スラリーを添加する工程、
(2)水溶性でエチレン不飽和酸基を有する少なくとも1種の単量体と架橋剤とを上記水性スラリーに添加し、それによってスラリーを反応させる工程、ただし、スラリーの反応によって二酸化炭素が放出されて発泡が生ずる、
(3)発泡が収まった後に上記単量体の重合を行い、それによって組成物を塊状で得る工程、及び
(4)該組成物を切断し、さらにシュレッダー又はミンサーを用いて寸断することによって細粒を得る工程
を包含することを特徴とする方法。 - 該水性スラリーが該鉱物性物質の凝集を避けるための酸化触媒をさらに含有することを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の製造方法。
- 工程(2)において、酸基を有する少なくとも1種の単量体及び架橋剤に加え、該単量体と共重合可能な単量体をも該水性スラリーに添加することを特徴とする、請求項17又は18に記載の方法。
- 該水性スラリーが、アルカリ土類金属物質及びアルカリ金属物質からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種の酸中和用物質を、エチレン性不飽和の上記酸単量体の40モル%を超えない量で、さらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項17〜19のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 該アルカリ金属物質が水酸化アルカリ、炭酸アルカリ及びケイ酸アルカリからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜16のいずれかに記載の組成物であって中和度が1〜40モル%である組成物の、塩基性の水性液体又はアンモニアを吸収するため、又は、有機物のバクテリアによる分解により生ずる物質を処理するための使用方法。
- 請求項1〜16のいずれかに記載の組成物の、下記の(1)〜(6)のいずれかの用途への使用方法。
(1)植物の発芽、成長及び栽培のための水分貯蔵物質又は養分供給物質として用いる、ただし、土壌のさらなる添加をせずに用いてもよいし、土壌と混合して用いて土壌を改良してもよい。
(2)固体又は液体肥料の担体として用いる。
(3)斜面栽培のために、天然又は合成の平坦な繊維製構造物の中に埋め込んで用いる。
(4)植物の屋根上栽培のために用いる。
(5)湿地帯において、植物栽培のために、天然又は合成の平坦な繊維製構造物の中に、軽量の天然又は合成の材料とともに埋め込んで用いる。
(6)殺虫剤、農薬、殺菌剤又は防黴剤の担体として用いる。
