Claims (3)
- 電解液が充填された電池の外装缶内に安全装置を内蔵してなる安全装置内蔵電池において、
安全装置は、電池の正極端子又は負極端子と外装缶内リード体との間に挿入され、電流供給側端子、可動アーム、電流取出側端子、バイメタル及び温度サーミスタ(以下、PTC)を含み、これらが樹脂製ケース内に設置されており、
電池正常時は、電流供給側端子と電流取出側端子とが可動アームを介して接続され当該回路(主回路という)に電流が流れ、バイメタルとPTCには電流が流れない状態にあり、
電池異常時は、バイメタルが反転して可動アームが変位し、電流供給側端子と電流取出側端子とが切離され、前記主回路には電流が流れなくなり、電流供給側端子と電流取出側端子とが、可動アーム、バイメタル、及びPTCを介して接続されてPTCを含む回路に電流が流れ、PTCが発熱して、可動アームが変位した状態が保持され、実質的に電流遮断状態が継続されるようにしたことを特徴とする安全装置内蔵電池。 - 樹脂製ケースは、ポリプロピレン、ポリフェニレンスルフィド、液晶ポリマーから選ばれた1種類以上の樹脂により形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の安全装置内蔵電池。
- 樹脂製ケースの表面は、電解液に侵されることが少ない1種類以上の材料でコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の安全装置内蔵電池。
