Description
図1は、本実施の形態に係る制御装置又は制御システムが適用され得る自転車10の一例の側面図である。もちろん、図示の自転車10以外にも、本発明の要旨,構成及び作用効果が適用され得る種々の自転車や人力駆動車輌が存在する。本実施の形態においては、図示の自転車10の内容に従って説明するが、本発明に係る制御装置又は制御システムは他の条件下においても使用され得ることを理解すべきである。

Claims (15)
- 自動シフト可能な自転車用トランスミッションにおける制御システムであって、
第1のギアセットを有するトランスミッションと、
前記第1のギアセットにおけるギア間において前記トランスミッションのシフト変更を行うように構成されたシフトコントローラと、
前記シフトコントローラに電気的に接続され、前記第1のギアセットの中から部分的に選択された第2ギアセットを使用する自動シフトモード下において該シフトコントローラを選択的に操作するように構成されたコントロールユニットとを備え、
前記コントロールユニットは、検出された自転車の走行速度に基づき、前記第2ギアセットにおける少なくとも2つのギア間において前記トランスミッションをシフト変更させるべく、前記シフトコントローラを自動的に作動させることを特徴とする自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。 - 前記第2ギアセットは、前記第1ギアセットを構成するギアから選択され且つ該第1ギアセットよりも少数のギアを備えた下位集合体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記第2ギアセットのギアは連続した変速段を形成していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記第1ギアセットは8つのギアを有し、且つ、前記第2ギアセットは該8つのギアのうちの6つのギアを有していることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記コントロールユニットに電気的に接続されたスイッチユニットを、さらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記スイッチユニットは第1及び第2部材を有し、
前記第1部材を作動させることによって前記第2ギアセットのシフトアップが実行され、且つ、前記第2部材を作動させることによって前記第2ギアセットのシフトダウンが実行されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。 - 前記第2ギアセットは前記第1ギアセットの下位集合であり、
前記第1ギアセットは、初期設定時の第2ギアセットのギアと、該初期設定時の第2ギアセットにおける最高速ギア及び最低速ギアよりそれぞれ1段高速及び1段低速の高速側ギア及び低速側ギアとを備えていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。 - 前記初期設定時の第2ギアセットをシフトアップした際に、前記第1ギアセットが、該シフトアップ時の第2ギアセットのギアと、該シフトアップ時の第2ギアセットにおける最低速ギアよりも低速の2つのギアとを有するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記初期設定時の第2ギアセットをシフトダウンした際に、前記第1ギアセットが、該シフトダウン時の第2ギアセットのギアと、該シフトダウン時の第2ギアセットにおける最高速ギアよりも高速の2つのギアとを有するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記コントロールユニットは、複数のギアセットから前記第2ギアセットを選択し得るように構成されており、
該コントロールユニットによる選択は前記スイッチユニットによってコントロールされることを特徴とする請求項6から9の何れか1項に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。 - 前記スイッチユニットの第1位置への移動によって前記第2ギアセットとして高速側ギアセットが選択され、且つ、前記スイッチユニットの第2位置への移動によって前記第2ギアセットとして低速側ギアセットが選択されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記コントロールユニットは、前記スイッチユニットの使用によって、前記シフトコントローラを手動でも操作し得るように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項5から11の何れか1項に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記スイッチユニットは第1部材及び第2部材を備え、
該第1部材及び第2部材の作動によって、それぞれ、前記トランスミッションがシフトアップ及びシフトダウンすることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。 - 前記シフトコントローラはリアディレイラを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1から13の何れか1項に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
- 前記シフトコントローラは、さらに、モータ駆動型アクチュエータを備えていることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の自転車用トランスミッションのシフト制御システム。
