Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、ガタツキ等を生じ
ることなく強固に締結することができる合成樹脂製品に
おけるかしめ式締結機構に関するものである。

【従来の技術】例えば、ドアトリム等の自動車用内装材
では熱可塑性の合成樹脂よりなるトリム成形基板にかし
めピンを突設して、これに被取付部材を嵌めたうえ該か
しめピンの遊端を高周波や超音波ホーン等で溶融固化さ
れた抜け止め用頭部に成形することにより被取付部材を
固定することが従来より広く行われている(例えば、実
開昭62−114724号公報や特開平2−13013
0号公報など参照)。
【0003】ところが、前記の成形基板と被取付部材と
は通常同材質であるため、かしめ締結を強固にしようと
すると、かしめピンのみならず被取付部材までも溶融し
てしまい糸引き等のバリを生じて外観不良を発生させる
という問題点があり、一方、これを避けるためにかしめ
締結を弱めに行うとガタツキが生じて異音発生の要因に
なるという問題点があって、このかしめ締結力を最適値
に設定するのが容易でなく作業性を低下させる要因とな
っていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は上記のような
従来の問題点を解決して、糸引き等の外観不良やガタツ
キを発生させることなく、しかも強固な締結力を確保す
ることができるとともに、かしめ締結力の設定も容易で
作業性を大幅に向上することができる合成樹脂製品にお
けるかしめ式締結機構を提供することを目的として完成
されたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記の課題を解決するた
めになされた本発明の合成樹脂製品におけるかしめ式締
結機構は、熱可塑性の合成樹脂よりなる成形基板にかし
めピンを突設して、これに被取付部材を嵌めたうえ該か
しめピンの遊端を溶融固化された抜け止め用頭部に成形
することにより被取付部材を固定する合成樹脂製品にお
けるかしめ式締結機構において、前記被取付部材の内側
下方部には段部が形成されて該段部に成形基板の湾曲先
端部を当接した状態で位置決めしてあるとともに、かし
めピン嵌め込み部の周辺には連結用凸部が形成され、該
連結用凸部を前記抜け止め用頭部に埋め込んだ状態でか
しめ締結してあることを特徴とするものであり、前記し
た発明において、被取付部材に設けられたかしめピン嵌
め込み部をその端縁が開口された切り欠き溝としたもの
を請求項に係る発明とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】以下に、図面を参照しつつ本発明
の好ましい実施の形態を示す。図面は、自動車用ドアト
リムにおけるトリム本体と蓋体とをかしめ締結した場合
を示すものであって、図中1は熱可塑性合成樹脂よりな
るトリム本体である成形基板、10はこの成形基板1に
かしめ締結される同材質の合成樹脂よりなる蓋体として
の被取付部材である。そして、前記の成形基板1にはか
しめピン2が突設されてこれに被取付部材10のピンは
め込み部を嵌めたうえ、かしめピン2の遊端を溶融固化
された抜け止め用頭部3に成形することにより被取付部
材10を固定するものである点は、従来のこの種の合成
樹脂製品におけるかしめ式締結機構と基本的に同じであ
る。
【0007】そして、前記被取付部材10の内側下方部
には段部10aが形成され、該段部10aに成形基板1
の湾曲先端部1aを当接した状態で位置決めしてあると
ともに、かしめピン嵌め込み部10bの周辺には連結用
凸部11が形成され、この連結用凸部11を前記抜け止
め用頭部3に埋め込んだ状態でかしめ締結してある点を
特徴的構成としている。このように被取付部材10の内
側下方部には段部10aを形成してこの段部10aに成
形基板1の湾曲先端部1aを当接した状態で位置決めす
ることによって、成形基板1と被取付部材10との位置
合せを容易なものとするとともに、後述するかしめピン
2とかしめピン嵌め込み部10bとの位置合せも同時に
行えるよう構成されている。
【0008】また、被取付部材10のかしめピン嵌め込
み部10bにはかしめピン挿入用の透孔が形成されてい
るとともに、透孔の周辺部には等間隔で4個の連結用凸
部11が形成され、1点鎖線で表示したように、例え
ば、超音波ホーンでかしめピン2の遊端を溶融固化して
抜け止め用頭部3とした場合に、連結用凸部11の先端
部が抜け止め用頭部3の下面側において埋め込まれた状
態でかしめ締結されることにより、被取付部材10が成
形基板1に対しガタツキ等を生じることなく強固に締結
されるよう構成されている。つまり、本発明は従来のよ
うにかしめピンの遊端をかしめピン嵌め込み部の周辺部
に平面的且つ全体的に溶融固化させるのと異なり、連結
用凸部11に対しスポット的に溶融固化させるものであ
るので、被取付部材10までも溶融して糸引き等のバリ
を発生させることがなく、しかも強固な締結力が確保さ
れることとなるのである。
【0009】なお、前記被取付部材10のかしめピン嵌
め込み部10bは、かしめピン2に対応した透孔を形成
しておくのを普通とするが、図2に示されるようにその
端縁が開口された切り欠き溝12とすることもでき、こ
の場合には切り欠き溝12の開口部側をかしめピン2に
対して差し込むようにして組付ければよいので、従来の
透孔タイプのものに比べて設計の自由度を大幅に広げる
ことが可能となり、また強固な締結力の確保も勿論可能
である。更に、図3に示されるように、かしめピン2の
下方部に被取付部材固定用のフィン4を有するタイプの
ものにも同様に適用できることも勿論である。
【0010】次に、上記自動車用ドアトリムのかしめ締
結工程について簡単に説明すると、図4に示されるよう
に、各々のかしめピン2を被取付部材10のかしめピン
嵌め込み部10bに嵌め込むとともに、下側より受け台
20a、20bを介して回転および上下動自在なアーム
21により支持し、超音波ホーン22a、22bにより
かしめピンの遊端を溶融固化させる。この場合、被取付
部材10の内側下方部には段部10aが形成されてお
り、該段部10aに成形基板1の湾曲先端部1aを当接
した状態で位置決めするのみで成形基板1と被取付部材
10との位置合せを確実なものとできるうえ、更にはこ
れと同時に、かしめピン2とかしめピン嵌め込み部10
bとの位置合せも行えることとなる。また、前記の嵌め
込み工程はかしめピン嵌め込み部10bを切り欠き溝1
2としてあり、切り欠き溝12の開口部側をかしめピン
2に対して差し込むようにして組付けるのみで簡単かつ
短時間で行えることとなる。
【0011】そして、かしめ工程の際に超音波ホーンの
締結力を若干弱めに設定しておくことにより連結用凸部
11が抜け止め用頭部3に埋め込んだ状態でかしめ締結
が行われ、糸引き等のバリやガタツキを発生させること
がなく、しかも強固な締結力が確保されることとなる。
また、上記のように連結用凸部11が抜け止め用頭部3
に埋め込んだ状態でかしめ締結を行うので、外気の温度
差や超音波ホーンの圧力変化等の管理条件に幅を持たせ
ても十分強固な締結力が確保されることとなり、従来の
ような困難な締結力の設定をすることなく締結作業を容
易に行えることとなる。

【発明の効果】以上の説明からも明らかなように、本発
明は糸引き等の外観不良やガタツキを発生させることな
く、しかも強固な締結力を確保することができるととも
に、かしめ締結力の設定も容易で作業性を大幅に向上す
ることができるものである。よって本発明は従来の問題
点を一掃した合成樹脂製品におけるかしめ式締結機構と
して、産業の発展に寄与するところは極めて大である。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 熱可塑性の合成樹脂よりなる成形基板
    (1) にかしめピン(2)を突設して、これに被取付部材(1
    0)を嵌めたうえ該かしめピン(2) の遊端を溶融固化され
    た抜け止め用頭部(3) に成形することにより被取付部材
    (10)を固定する合成樹脂製品におけるかしめ式締結機構
    において、前記被取付部材(10)の内側下方部には段部(1
    0a) が形成されて該段部(10a) に成形基板(1) の湾曲先
    端部(1a)を当接した状態で位置決めしてあるとともに、
    かしめピン嵌め込み部(10b) の周辺には連結用凸部(11)
    が形成され、該連結用凸部(11)を前記抜け止め用頭部
    (3)に埋め込んだ状態でかしめ締結してあることを特徴
    とする合成樹脂製品におけるかしめ式締結機構。
  2. 【請求項2】 被取付部材(10)に設けるかしめピン嵌め
    込み部(10b) を被取付部材(10)の端縁に向け開口された
    切り欠き溝(12)としてある請求項1に記載の合成樹脂製
    品におけるかしめ式締結機構。
