Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、フランジ部を有するプラスチック製容器と
蓋材とからなる包装体において、容易に開封することの
できる密封包装体の製造方法に関するものである。
〔従来の技術〕
従来から行なわれている、プラスチック包装体の易開
封性方法で最も一般的なものは、蓋材のシール層の材質
を様々な樹脂の配合物にすることによって、容器とのシ
ール強度を適度に、(例えば、600〜1000g/15mm)制御
し、蓋材と容器の界面をピールして開封するものであ
る。
ところがシール強度はシール条件、環境温度、内容物
の付着等の影響を受け易く、上下にバラツキが生じる。
下方にバラツキが生じると、時にはシール漏れの事故
になる危険性を有している。逆に上方にバラツキが生じ
るとピール性が悪くなり、容易に開封することができな
くなる。シール漏れは致命的な欠陥であるため、シール
温度や圧力を高目に設定する等で上方にバラツキを持た
せているのが一般的である。そのため全般に開封が困難
であった。
また、この困難さを克服する為にシール層とその隣接
層とのデラミネーションによる開封する方法もしられて
いる(例えば特公昭50−37598号公報)が通常のシール
ではシール層がうまく破断せず、内容物を取出しにくい
ということが生じる欠点があった。これらの方法(層間
剥離タイプ)の易開封性包装体においては、さらに安定
したものを得ようとしてシール層に切り込み線を入れた
り、またヒートシール時にシール層の樹脂の樹脂溜まり
を形成させる等の方法が種々提案されている。
これらの易開封性包装体の製造方法としては、特開昭
63−96061号公報、特開昭63−11018号公報等(シール層
面に切り込みを線状にいれる方法)が提案されている。
しかしながら、これらの方法では、正確な位置に切り
込み線を入れることは非常に難しく、さらにこれらの切
り込み線に掛からないように蓋材のシール位置を制御す
ることは容易でなく、安定した密封性や易開封性を有す
る包装体を得ることは困難であった。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
本発明は、シール漏れの危険が無く、しかもシール条
件に左右されずに、安定した易開封性が得られる包装体
を得んとして研究した結果、容器のフランジ部のシール
層と隣接する隣接層の構成樹脂を適宜選択し、容器と蓋
材とをシールする前に予め容器に適当にホーン形状及び
受け台形状を選択して超音波処理を行うことにより、シ
ール層と隣接層界面ラミネート強度を変化させることが
できるという知見を得、更にこの知見に基づき種々研究
を進めて本発明を完成するに至ったものである。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明は容器がシール層と該シール層と隣接層を少な
くとも有し、該シール層と該隣接層とのラミネート強度
が300〜2000g/25mmである多層シートから形成したフラ
ンジ部を有し、該シール層の厚みが10〜70μである容器
であって、 該容器を容器受台に供給する第1の工程、 多数の微小凸部を有する超音波発振ホーンを用いて該
容器のフランジ部の蓋材とのシール面を超音波処理する
第2の工程、 内容物を充填する第3の工程、 蓋材を該容器の超音波処理した面とをシール強度が該
容器のシール層と隣接層とのラミネート強度より大きく
なるようにヒートシールする第4の工程、 蓋材を容器のフランジ形状にそって打ち抜く第5の工
程、 からなることを特徴とする易開封性包装体の製造方法で
ある。
本発明に用いられる容器は、シール層と該シール層と
隣接層を少なくとも有し、該シール層と該隣接層とのラ
ミネート強度が300〜2000g/25mmである多層シートから
形成したフランジ部を有し、該シール層の厚みが10〜70
μの構成となっており、例えばシール層にポリエチレン
系樹脂、隣接層にポリプロピレン系樹脂からなる単なる
2層構成でもよく、またこの隣接層はエチレン−酢酸ビ
ニル共重合体けん化物または塩化ビニリデン系樹脂のバ
リア層、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂等
の強化層、また中間層として金属、紙等を積層してなる
構成の多層シートで有っても差し支えない。
また蓋材は、容器のシール層と該シール層との隣接層
のラミネート強度より接着強度が大きいものなら、どの
ような構成でもよい。
超音波処理は、容器を受け台に供給し内容物充填前に
行う。内容物充填前であれば内容物による超音波発振ホ
ーンの汚れがなく、超音波発振ホーンの保守が比較的容
易である。超音波発振ホーンの処理面は、第5図に示す
ように容器のフランジ面に微小凹部を形成させるための
微小凸部が形成されており、これらの微小凸部のピッチ
間隔wは0.3〜0.8mmが好ましく、この微小凸部の突起の
高さdは容器のシール層の厚さに対応して選択される
が、目安としてシール層の厚み1〜10倍程度が望まし
い。
この超音波処理は容器のフランジのシール層面全面あ
るいはその一部に行なう。
このようにフランジ全面もしくは一部分に微小凹部を
形成させるためには、超音波発振ホーンの受け台の形状
として第6図(a)、(b)、(c)に示すような構造
のものを用いることによってなされる。
〔作用〕
供給装置により、容器を受け台に供給した後多数の微
小凸状の目を有する超音波発振ホーンにより、該容器に
多数の微小凹部を形成する。その後容器内に品物を充填
した後、蓋材を容器に被せ、シール装置により容器と蓋
材とを接着シールする。
包装体の蓋材を容器から剥離するとき、該容器フラン
ジの外端部分のシール層と隣接層との間から剥離し始め
ると、多数の微小凹部を形成するところで容器のシール
層が切断され蓋材を容易に剥離できる。
以下、図面を参照して本発明の1実施例について詳細
に説明する。
第1図において、本発明の方法を概略的に示す。同図
において容器9は複数層(本実施例では2層)からなる
ものでその構成は、第3図に示すように、シール層10お
よび隣接層11とからなる。蓋材12も同じく複数層(本実
施例では2層)からなるものであり、その構成は第3図
に示すようにシール層13および隣接層14からなる。容器
9は、シール層10と隣接層11との接着力がシール層10と
蓋材12のシール層13とをヒートシールしたときの接着力
よりも小さくなるようなものをシールの種類に応じて予
め選ぶ。
第1図において1は容器供給装置であり、7の受け台
に容器9を供給する。
2は容器9の回りにおいて容器9のシール層10に多数
の微小凹部の剥離部15を形成する多数の微小凸状の目を
有する超音波発振ホーン、4は容器9内に品物を充填す
る充填装置、5は容器9と蓋材12とをヒートシールする
シール装置、6は、シールされた蓋材から包装体8を打
ち抜く打ち抜き装置である。
上記装置において容器9が供給装置により受台7に供
給された後、2の位置に送られると多数の微小凸状の目
を有する超音波発振ホーンが下降し、第2図のように容
器7のフランジ部に多数の微小凹部が形成する。
この時の超音波処理条件は出力2kW、圧力50〜700KP
a、発振時間0.05〜2.5sの範囲内で容器の種類、また形
状によって設定する。
次に容器9が充填装置4の下に送られるとその容器内
に品物が充填され、シール装置の直前で容器9の上に蓋
材12が被せられ、シール装置5により容器9と蓋材12と
がヒートシールされる。この時容器9のシール層10と蓋
材12のシール層13とは、第4図に示されるように多数の
微小凹部の上又は、外周においてフランジ全面をヒート
シールする。
その後打ち抜き装置6により包装体8が打ち抜かれ
る。
上記のように形成された包装体8の蓋材12を容器9か
ら剥離する場合蓋材12の外端を指でつまんで上方に引き
挙げれば、蓋材12は、第3図に示すように多数の微小凹
部の周縁外側にある容器9のシール層10が蓋材12にくっ
ついた状態で剥離される。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明の方法によりつくられた包装体は互いに引きは
がし可能な複数層のフィルムから成形される容器と蓋材
からなり、容器のシール層と隣接層の部分で剥離するの
で蓋材の開封が容易になりまた密封性にも優れている。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】容器がシール層と該シール層との隣接層を
    少なくとも有し、該シール層と該隣接層とのラミネート
    強度が300〜2000g/25mmである多層シートから形成した
    フランジ部を有し、該シール層の厚みが10〜70μである
    容器であって、 該容器を容器受台に供給する工程、 多数の微小凸部を有する超音波発振ホーンを用いて該容
    器のフランジ部の蓋材とのシール面を超音波処理する工
    程、 内容物を充填する工程、 蓋材を該容器の超音波処理した面とをシール強度が該容
    器のシール層と隣接層とのラミネート強度より大きくな
    るようにヒートシールする工程、 蓋材を容器のフランジ形状にそって打ち抜く工程、 を有することを特徴とする易開封性包装体の製造方法。
