Claims (17)
- 駆動部(12)と、主ねじ(16,32)を有するねじを持つシャンク(14)とを備えたセルフタッピングネジ(10,30)であって、
前記主ねじ(16,32)は、最大主ねじ外径(DAF)と、切削領域(F)と、駆動方向において続く支え領域(T)とを有し、
前記シャンク(14)は、前記駆動部(12)と逆の方向に位置する端部にねじ終端(18)を有し、前記ねじ終端(18)は、前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の少なくとも20%の直径(DE)を有しており、
特徴とするところは、
前記シャンクは、さらに、前記ねじ終端(18)の領域にタップフルート(20)を有し、前記タップフルート(20)は、少なくとも2つのタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)を備えており、前記タッピングねじターンは、前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の90%以下の外径(DAA)を有し、かつタップ領域を形成し、このタップ領域では、タッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)が同じ直径であり、さらに
タップフルート領域(AB)における前記主ねじ(16,32)の直径は、前記タッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)の外径(DAA)と同じか、それよりも小さいものである、セルフタッピングネジ。 - 前記タップフルート領域(AB)における主ねじ(16、32)の直径がタップフルートの直径(DAA)と同一であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 少なくとも3つのタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)が設けられ、タップフルート領域における主ねじの直径(D)は、タップフルート(20)の直径(DAA)よりも小さいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記ねじ終端(18)の領域におけるタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)は、芯から始まり、直径が一定に増加していることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 同一外径(DAA,D)のタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)は、タップフルート領域(AB)の周りに均等に分布していることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記ねじ終端(18)は、前記主ねじ外径(DAF)の少なくとも20%、少なくとも30%、少なくとも40%、少なくとも50%、少なくとも60%の直径(DE)を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- タップフルート領域(AB)におけるすべてのねじターンは、同じ断面の平面で始まることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- タップフルート領域(AB)におけるすべてのねじターン(20a,20b,20c)は、同一のねじ設計であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート(20)は、前記ねじの終端(18)の直後から始まることを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート(20)は、前記ねじ終端(18)から離れた点で始まることを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート(20)および主ねじ(16)は、ロールねじであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート(20)および前記主ねじ(16)は、前記タップフルート領域の外側の主ねじ(16)よりも、前記タップフルート領域(AB)においてより鈍角のフランク角を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート(20)は、急に無くなることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート(20)は、最大2ターンを超えて延びていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記ねじターンは、ねじの外径の補間された経路を残して、中断されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記主ねじは、その最大外径(DAF)が前記切削領域(F)にあり、その外径(DAT)が前記支え領域(T)においてより小さいことを特徴とする、請求項1〜15ののいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の領域におけるねじの断面の輪郭(38)は、少なくとも、ねじの断面輪郭の半径方向外側領域(E)において、この領域(E)における支え領域(T)のねじの断面の輪郭(36)よりも大きいことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
