Claims (16)
- 駆動部(12)と、前記駆動部と逆の方向に位置する端部にネジ端部(18)を含むシャンク(14)とを備えるセルフタッピングネジ(10,30)であって、
前記シャンク(14)は、
パイロット穴に雌ねじを形成するための主ねじ(16,32)と、
前記パイロット穴に対する前記セルフタッピングネジのセンタリングを補助するためのタップフルートねじ(20)とを含み、
前記シャンク(14)は、前記駆動部からネジ端部に向かって、支え領域(T)、切削領域(F)およびタップフルート領域(AB)の順に区画され、
前記主ねじ(16,32)は、前記支え領域(T)、前記切削領域(F)および前記タップフルート領域(AB)に亘って設けられ、
前記タップフルートねじ(20)は、前記タップフルート領域(AB)に設けられ、
前記タップフルートねじ(20)は、少なくとも2つのタッピングねじターン(20a,20b)を備えており、
前記主ねじ(16,32)は、前記支え領域または切削領域において最大主ねじ外径(DAF)を有し、
前記ネジ端部(18)の外径(DE)は、前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の少なくとも20%であり、
前記少なくとも2つのタッピングねじターンの外径(DAA)は同じであり、かつ前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の90%以下であり、
タップフルート領域(AB)にある前記主ねじ(16,32)の外径(D)は、前記タッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)の外径(DAA)と同じか、それよりも小さく、
少なくとも3つのタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)が設けられ、
前記タップフルート領域における主ねじの外径(D)は、前記タップフルートねじ(20)の外径(D AA )よりも小さいことを特徴とする、セルフタッピングネジ。 - 前記タップフルート領域(AB)における主ねじ(16、32)の外径がタップフルートねじの外径(DAA)と同一であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記ネジ端部(18)の領域におけるタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)は、芯から始まり、外径が一定に増加していることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記少なくとも2つのタッピングねじターンは同一外径(DAA,D)であり、前記タップフルート領域(AB)の周りに均等に分布していることを特徴とする、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記ネジ端部(18)は、前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の少なくとも20%の外径(DE)を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート領域(AB)におけるすべてのタッピングねじターンは、同じ断面の平面で始まることを特徴とする、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルート領域(AB)におけるすべてのタッピングねじターン(20a,20b,20c)は、同一のねじ設計であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルートねじ(20)は、前記ネジ端部(18)の直後から始まることを特徴とする、請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルートねじ(20)は、前記ネジ端部(18)から離れた点から始まることを特徴とする、請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルートねじ(20)および主ねじ(16)は、ロールねじであることを特徴とする、請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルートねじ(20)および前記タップフルート領域にある主ねじ(16)は、前記タップフルート領域以外の前記領域にある主ねじ(16)よりも鈍角のフランク角を有することを特徴とする、請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルートねじ(20)は、前記タップフルート領域(AB)と切削領域(F)の境界で終了することを特徴とする、請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タップフルートねじ(20)は、最大2ターンを超えて延びていることを特徴とする、請求項1~12のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記タッピングねじターンの連続性は、前記シャンクの外周に設けられた経路上で途切れることを特徴とする、請求項1~13のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記主ねじの最大主ねじ外径(DAF)は前記切削領域(F)にあり、前記支え領域(T)の主ねじ外径(DAT)は、前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)より小さいことを特徴とする、請求項1~14のいずれか1項に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
- 前記主ねじ断面輪郭の半径方向外側領域(E)において、前記最大主ねじ外径(DAF)の領域における主ねじの断面輪郭(38)は、支え領域(T)のねじの断面輪郭(36)よりも大きいことを特徴とする、請求項15に記載のセルフタッピングネジ。
