Description
本特許出願は、参照によりその全文が本明細書に明示的に組み込まれる、2017年12月22日出願の、表題「Reliable Energy Storage Devices with Flexible Ceramic Layer Separating Electrodes」の米国特許仮出願第62/609796号の利益を主張する。
Claims (20)
- セラミックを含むセパレータ層を備え、
前記セラミックを含むセパレータ層が、約3nm〜約2ミクロンの範囲の直径、約20〜約100,000の範囲のアスペクト比、および約0.01cm3/g〜約1cm3/gの範囲の金属酸化物繊維間の全開孔容積をもつ多孔質金属酸化物繊維を含む、セパレータ。 - 前記セラミックを含むセパレータ層が、アノード電極、カソード電極、または前記セパレータのセパレータ膜の1つまたは複数の上にコーティングとして実現されるか、あるいは
前記セラミックを含むセパレータ層が、スタンドアロンのセパレータ膜として実現される、
請求項1に記載のセパレータ。 - 前記金属酸化物繊維が、約2原子%〜約40原子%のアルミニウム(Al)を含む、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記金属酸化物繊維が、平均粒度が約20nm未満のアモルファスまたはナノ結晶の微細構造を示す、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記個々の金属酸化物繊維が、約100MPa〜約50GPaの範囲の平均引張強さを示す、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記金属酸化物繊維が、互いに結合し、かつ
前記金属酸化物繊維間の平均結合強度が、前記金属酸化物繊維の平均引張強さの約1%〜約100%超の範囲である、
請求項1に記載のセパレータ。 - 前記セパレータが、約1MPa〜約1,000MPaの範囲の引張強さを示す、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記セパレータが、約0.1mm〜約3cmの範囲の最小曲げ半径を示す、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記セパレータの厚さが、約1ミクロン〜約30ミクロンの範囲である、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記セパレータの気孔率が約30.0体積%〜約85.0体積%の範囲である、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記金属酸化物繊維が、少なくとも10倍変動する、それぞれの平均径を有する繊維の第1および第2のサブセットを含む、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記金属酸化物繊維が、少なくとも10倍変化する、それぞれの平均長を有する繊維の第1および第2のサブセットを含む、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 少なくとも20重量%の前記金属酸化物繊維が、約20nm〜約200nmの範囲の直径を示す、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 少なくとも20重量%の前記金属酸化物繊維が、約2ミクロン〜約200ミクロンの範囲の長さを示す、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記金属酸化物繊維に、第1の組成および/または形態をもつ繊維の第1のサブセットと、前記第1の組成および/または形態とは異なる第2の組成および/または形態をもつ繊維の第2のサブセットが含まれる、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記金属酸化物繊維が、アルコキシド前駆体繊維の変換によって製造される、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記セパレータが、分散体からのキャスティングまたは噴霧乾燥と、それに続いて約40℃〜約400℃の範囲の温度での乾燥により製造される、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記セパレータが、アノード電極をカソード電極から分離し、
前記アノード電極が、約3重量%〜約70重量%のシリコン(Si)を含む、
請求項1に記載のセパレータ。 - 前記セパレータが、約0.5重量%〜約50重量%の範囲の高分子を含む、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記高分子が、約120.0℃〜約450.0℃の範囲で熱安定性を示し、これを加熱してもその室温の引張強さは約50%以上低下しない、請求項19に記載のセパレータ。
