Abstract
Description
(2)前記カルコゲナイド系層状物質は、TiS2、ZrS2、HfS2、VS2、NbS2、TaS2、MoS2、WS2、GaS、GeSまたはSnS2である、(1)に記載の磁気記録媒体。
(3)前記下地層と前記磁性層との間に、ホウ素を含む磁性層をさらに有する、(1)または(2)に記載の磁気記録媒体。
(4)(1)〜(3)の何れか1項に記載の磁気記録媒体を有する、磁気記憶装置。
図1に、本実施形態の磁気記録媒体の層構成の一例を示す。
本実施形態の磁気記憶装置は、本実施形態の磁気記録媒体を有していれば、特に限定されない。
ガラス基板上に、下地層として、厚さ100nmのCr−50at%Ti合金層と、厚さ30nmのCo−27at%Fe−5at%Zr−5at%B合金層とを順次形成した。次に、ガラス基板を250℃まで加熱した後、厚さ10nmのCr層と、厚さ5nmのMgO層とを順次形成した。次に、ガラス基板を450℃まで加熱した後、厚さ2nmの(Fe−48at%Pt―5at%B)−40体積%C合金層(第1の磁性層)と、厚さ13nmの(Fe−49at%Pt)−40体積%MoS2合金層(第2の磁性層)を順次形成した。次に、保護層として、厚さ3nmのカーボン膜を形成し、磁気記録媒体を作製した。
第2の磁性層を構成する材料を表1に示すように変更した以外は、実施例1と同様に磁気記録媒体を作製した。
Kerr磁気測定装置(ネオアーク製)を用いて、磁気記録媒体の保磁力を測定した。
透過型電子顕微鏡(日立ハイテク製)を用いて、第2の磁性層に含まれる磁性粒子の粒径と高さを求めた。ここで、磁性粒子の高さとは、第1の磁性層を構成する磁性粒子の上に、エピタキシャル成長した第2の磁性層の磁性粒子が、エピタキシャル成長できなくなり、二次粒子が発生し始めるまでの高さとし、第1の磁性層の磁性粒子を含む高さとした。

Claims (4)
- 基板と、下地層と、磁性層を、この順で有し、
前記磁性層は、L10構造を有する磁性粒子と、粒界部を含むグラニュラー構造を有し、前記粒界部の含有量が25体積%〜50体積%の範囲内であり、
前記粒界部は、カルコゲナイド系層状物質を含む、磁気記録媒体。 - 前記カルコゲナイド系層状物質は、TiS2、ZrS2、HfS2、VS2、NbS2、TaS2、MoS2、WS2、GaS、GeSまたはSnS2である、請求項1に記載の磁気記録媒体。
- 前記下地層と前記磁性層との間に、ホウ素を含む磁性層をさらに有する、請求項1または2に記載の磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の磁気記録媒体を有する、磁気記憶装置。
