Abstract
Description
本開示は、本明細書に記載されるようなデジタルオフセット印刷プロセスでの使用に好適である金属インク組成物に関する。いくつかの実施形態では、本金属インク組成物は、金属効果顔料粒子を含む。本明細書で使用するとき、用語「金属効果」は、視覚効果を指す。このような視覚効果としては、金属光沢、スパークル効果、真珠光沢効果、閃光効果、輝き効果、又はこれらの組み合わせが挙げられる。

- デジタルオフセット印刷での使用のための金属インク組成物であって、
金属効果顔料粒子であって、前記金属効果顔料粒子の少なくとも約90%の平均等価球径は、1マイクロメートル(μm)超〜150μmの範囲である、金属効果顔料粒子と、
少なくとも1つの分散剤と、
少なくとも1つの硬化性オリゴマーと、
少なくとも1つの光開始剤と、を含み、
前記金属インク組成物は、25℃で0.1rad/sにおいて150,000〜1,000,000ミリパスカル秒(mPa・s)の範囲の粘度を有する、金属インク組成物。 - 前記金属効果顔料粒子は、基材及び光学活性コーティングを含む、請求項1に記載の金属インク組成物。

金属効果顔料粒子であって、前記金属効果顔料粒子の少なくとも約90%の平均等価球径は、1マイクロメートル(μm)超〜150μmの範囲である、金属効果顔料粒子と、
少なくとも1つの分散剤と、
少なくとも1つの硬化性オリゴマーと、
少なくとも1つの光開始剤と、を含み、
前記金属インク組成物は、25℃で0.1rad/sにおいて150,000〜1,000,000ミリパスカル秒(mPa・s)の範囲の粘度を有する、方法。 - 前記金属効果顔料粒子は、レーザー光散乱法により測定したとき、約10〜20μmの範囲の平均等価球径D10、約25〜35μmの範囲の平均等価球径D50、及び約55〜65μmの範囲の平均等価球径D90を有する、請求項13に記載の方法。

- 前記インク画像の少なくとも90%は、前記印刷可能な基材に転写される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記印刷可能な基材は、非平滑な表面を含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記印刷可能な基材は、テクスチャ加工された厚紙、テクスチャ加工されたプラスチック、及びコーティングされていない紙からなる群から選択される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記金属効果顔料粒子は、基材及び光学活性コーティングを含み、前記光学活性コーティングは、金属酸化物、金属酸化物水和物、金属、金属フッ化物、金属窒化物、金属酸窒化物、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項13に記載の方法。
