複列の外側軌道面を有する外方部材と、
ハブ輪及び内輪からなり、複列の内側軌道面を有する内方部材と、
前記外方部材と前記内方部材のそれぞれの軌道面間に介装される複列の転動部材と、
前記外方部材と前記内方部材によって形成された環状空間のアウター側開口端を塞ぐアウター側シール部材と、を備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記ハブ輪における車輪取付フランジのインナー側基端部分に当該ハブ輪の回転軸を中心とする円環状の凹部が設けられており、
前記外方部材のアウター側端部が前記凹部に挿入され、かつ前記アウター側シール部材の少なくとも一部が前記凹部に収まっている、ものである。
前記凹部の内周面と前記外方部材のアウター側端部における外周面が互いに近接してラビリンス部を構成している、ものである。
前記ラビリンス部がインナー側に向かうにつれて径方向外側へ傾斜している、ものである。

Claims (3)
- 複列の外側軌道面を有する外方部材と、
ハブ輪及び内輪からなり、複列の内側軌道面を有する内方部材と、
前記外方部材と前記内方部材のそれぞれの軌道面間に介装される複列の転動部材と、
前記外方部材と前記内方部材によって形成された環状空間のアウター側開口端を塞ぐアウター側シール部材と、を備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記ハブ輪における車輪取付フランジのインナー側基端部分に当該ハブ輪の回転軸を中心とする円環状の凹部が設けられており、
前記外方部材のアウター側端部が前記凹部に挿入され、かつ前記アウター側シール部材の少なくとも一部が前記凹部に収まっている、ことを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記凹部の内周面と前記外方部材のアウター側端部における外周面が互いに近接してラビリンス部を構成している、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記ラビリンス部がインナー側に向かうにつれて径方向外側へ傾斜している、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
