本明細書の全体で使われる用語「約」、「実質的に」などは、言及された意味に固有の製造及び物質許容誤差が提示されるとき、その数値でまたはその数値に近接した意味として使われ、本願の理解を助けるために正確又は絶対的な数値が言及された開示内容を非良心的な侵害者が不当に利用することを防止するために使われる。
Si(純度97%、Aldrich)とLiF(Aldrich)とを振動ミルを用いて機械的に合金化する方法でSi‐LiF混合粒子を製造した。SiとLiFとを混合し、これをIPA溶液に10%の固形分濃度で添加して、高エネルギーミル(Netzsch)を用いて30時間粉砕した。ここで、SiとLiFとの含量は、Si 100重量部に対して LiF 2重量部にした。
Si(純度97%、Aldrich)を振動ミルを用いて機械的に微紛化した。SiをIPA溶液に10%の固形分濃度で添加し、ビーズミル(NETZSCH)を用いて30時間に粉砕した。微紛化されたSi結晶子の大きさは、XRD測定によるLa値が20nmであった。
前記製造1で製造された複合粒子、導電材(カーボンブラック、KS6)及びポリアクリロニトリルを重量比70:20:10で混合し、純水に投入して混合し電極スラリーを製造して、前記スラリーを電流集電体としての厚さ20μmの銅ホイルに60μmの厚さでコーティングした後、乾燥して電極を製造した。
電解液として、LiPF6 1M濃度及びVC(ビニルカーポネート、添加剤)が0.5wt%で含まれた有機溶媒(エチレンカーボネート:エチルメチルカーボネート=3:7(体積比))を使用したことを除き、実施例1と同じ方法で電池を製造した。
前記製造2で得られた複合粒子を使用することを除き、実施例1と同じ方法で電池を製造した。
それぞれの電池に対する初回充放電条件は以下のようであり、その結果を下記表1及び図2に示した。
‐ 実施例1:0.1CでCC/CVモードで充電し(5mV、0.005C cut off)、0.1Cで1.5Vまで定電流で放電する条件で初回充放電を行う
‐ 実施例2:0.1CでCC/CVモードで充電し(10mV、0.01C cut off)、0.1Cで1.5Vまで定電流で放電する条件で初回充放電を行う

Claims (16)
- 炭素材、ケイ素及びフッ化リチウム(LiF)を含み、炭素材からなる炭素相及びSi‐LiF混合粒子から構成され、前記Si‐LiF混合粒子が前記炭素相内に均一または不均一な分布で分散している、複合粒子。
- 前記Si‐LiF混合粒子は、Si粒子表面の少なくとも一部がLiFで被覆されているか、または、Si粒子とLiFとが均質または不均質に混合されているものであり、前記Si粒子の粒径(D50)が1nm〜700μmである、請求項1に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記Si粒子のXRD回折による結晶子の大きさLaが20nm以下である、請求項2に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記炭素材は、高結晶性炭素と低結晶性炭素との均質混合物または非均質混合物である、請求項1に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記炭素材は、天然黒鉛、人造黒鉛、低結晶性ソフトカーボン、カーボンナノチューブ、グラフェン、フラーレン、炭素繊維、熱分解炭素、メソフェーズピッチ系炭素繊維、メソカーボンマイクロビーズ、メソフェーズピッチ、石油または石炭系コークス、及びカーボンブラックからなる群より選択された一種または二種以上の混合物である、請求項1に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記複合粒子内の炭素材の含量が10重量%〜90重量%である、請求項1に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記複合粒子の粒径が1μm〜100μmであり、前記複合粒子の体積累積粒度分布の50%直径(D50)が1μm〜50μmである、請求項1に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記複合粒子は、粒子の表面の少なくとも一部が低結晶性炭素材を含む被覆層で被覆され、前記被覆層の厚さが5nm〜100nmである、請求項1に記載の複合粒子。
- 前記被覆層の低結晶性炭素材の含量が被覆層100重量%に対して90重量%以上である、請求項8に記載の複合粒子。
- 請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の複合粒子を含む電気化学素子用負極活物質。
- 請求項1に記載の複合粒子を製造する製造方法であって、
(S10)Si‐LiF混合粒子を製造する段階と、
(S20)前記Si‐LiF混合粒子、炭素前駆体及び炭素材を含むスラリーを製造する段階と、
(S30)前記スラリーを乾燥する段階と、
(S40)前記(S30)で得られた乾燥結果物を熱処理して複合粒子前駆体を得る段階と、
(S50)前記(S40)で得られた複合粒子前駆体を微紛化して複合粒子を得る段階とを含む製造方法。 - 前記炭素前駆体の溶液は、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリビニルアルコール、セルロース及びピッチからなる群より選択された一種以上が分散媒中に分散した状態にある、請求項11に記載の製造方法。
- 前記(S10)Si‐LiF混合粒子を製造する段階は、SiとLiFとを機械的混合して行われる、請求項11に記載の製造方法。
- 前記Siの材料として純度98%以下のSiを使用する、請求項13に記載の製造方法。
- 前記炭素前駆体は、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリビニルアルコール、セルロース及びピッチからなる群より選択された一種以上である、請求項11に記載の製造方法。
- 前記(S40)は、400℃〜1100℃で行われる、請求項11に記載の製造方法。
