(b)1日の連続印刷枚数:3000枚(連続印刷試験を10日間行い、計30000枚を印刷した。)
(c)連続印刷時の印刷パターン:図6に示されるように、記録媒体21の印刷方向、すなわち、現像ローラ11の周方向に平行な罫線71a及び71bを配したパターン
(d)試験環境:温度20〔℃〕、相対湿度50〔%〕
効果を確認するための指標、及び、効果ありと判定する判定基準は、次の(1)及び(2)の通りである。
(1)指標:3000枚印刷開始前と印刷終了後とに、ハーフトーンパターンを印刷したときの「汚れ」の発生の有無
判定基準:ハーフトーンパターンの印刷において「汚れ」が一度も発生しない
(2)指標:30000枚印刷後の現像ローラ11上におけるトナーフィルミングの発生の有無
判定基準:ベタパターンの印刷において、現像ローラ11上にトナーフィルミングの発生が確認されない

なお、本実施の形態で使用した現像ローラ11の摩擦係数は、表面処理液中にポリエーテル系ポリマーとともに添加するアクリルフッ素系ポリマーの添加量を変量することによって調整した。

・現像ローラ11表面の周方向の表面粗さの負荷長さ率tp (60〔%〕)が20〔%〕以上35〔%〕以下であり、かつ、負荷長さ率tp (80〔%〕)が52〔%〕以上70〔%〕以下である。

- 静電潜像担持体上の潜像を現像する現像剤担持体と、
該現像剤担持体に現像剤を供給する現像剤供給部材とを備える現像装置であって、
前記現像剤担持体の表面が以下の条件を満足することを特徴とする現像装置。
摩擦係数が0.35以上0.9以下
周方向の表面粗さにおいて、

- 前記現像剤担持体の表面の凹凸の平均間隔Sm が0.12〔mm〕以上0.23〔mm〕以下である請求項1又は2に記載の現像装置。
- 前記現像剤担持体は、弾性層と該弾性層の外周面を覆う表面層とを有し、前記弾性層は、アスカーC硬度が55度以上80度以下である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の現像装置。
- 前記現像剤担持体の抵抗値が1×104 〔Ω〕以上1×107 〔Ω〕以下であり、前記現像剤供給部材の抵抗値が1×104 〔Ω〕以上1×107 〔Ω〕以下である請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の現像装置。
- 前記現像剤は非磁性一成分の負帯電性現像剤であり、前記現像剤の粒子は、体積平均粒径が6.0〔μm〕、円形度が0.96、単位重量当たりの電荷量Q/Mが約−35〔μC/g〕である請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の現像装置。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の現像装置を備える画像形成装置。
