図29に示す第3実施形態のステント11Bにおいては、軸線方向LDに、一方のコイル状要素15Rの長さと他方のコイル状要素15Lとは交互に配置している。全ての一方のコイル状要素15Rは同形であり、全ての他方のコイル状要素15Lは同形である。
溶接の方法としては、コイル状バネ29とステント11Dの先端部27とを溶接で溶かし込んで接着固定する方法と、ステント11Dの先端部27における、コイル状バネ29から突出している領域を溶かして、コイル状バネ29の移動を規制する方法と、が挙げられる。
銀ロウの浸潤の場合、コイル状バネ29をステント11Dとは異なる材料から形成し、例えば銀ロウなどをコイル状バネ29の上から染み込ませて、コイル状バネ29をステント11Dの先端部27に固定する。

- 波線状パターンを有し且つ軸線方向に並んで配置される複数の波線状パターン体と、隣り合う前記波線状パターン体の間に配置され軸線周りに螺旋状に延びる複数のコイル状要素とを備え、隣り合う前記波線状パターン体の前記波線状パターンの対向する側の頂部の全てが相互に前記コイル状要素によって接続されている高柔軟性ステントであって、
軸線方向に対して垂直な径方向に視たときに、前記波線状パターン体の環方向は、前記径方向に対して傾斜しており、
前記波線状パターン体に対して軸線方向一方側に位置する一方の前記コイル状要素の巻き方向と、軸線方向他方側に位置する他方の前記コイル状要素の巻き方向とは、逆である、
高柔軟性ステント。 - 前記径方向に対して前記波線状パターン体の環方向が傾斜する角度は、30度〜60度である、
請求項1に記載の高柔軟性ステント。 - 前記波線状パターン体は、2つの脚部を頂部で連結した略V字形状の波形要素が周方向に複数接続されて、環状体を形成しており、
前記一方のコイル状要素の長さは、前記脚部の長さよりも長く、前記他方のコイル状要素の長さは、前記脚部の長さよりも短い、
