Abstract
(式中、R1はC1〜C12の炭化水素基であり、好ましくはC1〜C6アルキル基である)を含有する改良されたPVDC組成物、これから製造される層、これを含む多層組立体、及び包装のための、特には食品包装のための前記組立体の使用に関する。

Description
本出願は、2015年11月27日出願の欧州特許出願第15306885.3号に基づく優先権を主張するものであり、この出願の全内容は、あらゆる目的のために参照により本明細書に援用される。
例えば、引き裂き、引っ掻き、及び/又は亀裂に耐える特性をフィルムに付与するために、酷使層(abuse layer)がフィルム構造の外側に設けられる場合がある。更に、加熱するとそれ自体若しくは他の層に又は物品を密封することができる層を付与するために、フィルム構造の代替表面上にシーラント層が設けられる場合もある。加えて、フィルム構造の中に、多層フィルム構造内のバリア層、酷使層、シーラント層、又は任意の他の層などの内部層を結合させるための複数の「結合層」又は接着層を有する複数の層が含まれる場合がある。

− 塩化ビニリデンポリマー[VDCポリマー];及び
− VDCポリマーの重量に対して0.05〜5重量%(wt%)の、少なくとも1種の下記式(I)のソルビン酸エステル[ソルビン酸エステル(I)]:

を含有する、組成物[組成物(C)]を提供する。

(式中、R1は水素及び−CH3から選択され、R2は−CN及び−COR3から選択され、R3は−OH及び−OR4から選択され、R4は、任意選択的に1つ以上の−OH基を有していていてもよいC1〜C18の直鎖又は分岐のアルキル基、C2〜C10エポキシアルキル基、及びC2〜C10アルコキシアルキル基であり、R3は−NR5R6ラジカルからも選択され、R5及びR6は、同じ又は異なり、水素、及び任意選択的に1つ以上の−OH基を有していてもよいC1〜C10アルキル基から選択される)。
PE/VDCポリマー/PE;PE/VDCポリマー/EVA;EVA/VDCポリマー/EVA;PE/接着層/VDCポリマー/接着層/PE。
trans−ケイ皮酸メチル(CAS No.1754−62−7;純度99%);
trans−ケイ皮酸エチル(CAS No.103−36−6;純度99%);
マレイン酸ジエチル(CAS No.141−05−9;純度97%);
フマル酸ジエチル(CAS No.623−91−6;純度98%);
マレイン酸ジアリル(CAS No.999−21−3;純度93%);
ソルビン酸エチル(CAS No.2396−84−1;純度≧97%)。
PVDC組成物の単層フィルムは、2重量%の異なるジエノフィルが組み込まれたPVD組成物の98重量%の前記M/Bを、200×0.6mmのシートダイを有する1台の押出機(D=19mm、スクリューのL/D比=20)を使用して押し出すことによって製造した。ダイから出たフィルムをクエンチのために冷却し、3ロールチルカレンダーにより縦方向に大きく又は小さく引き伸ばした。フィルムの延伸率を制御することによって、10〜60μmの様々な厚さを有する複数のフィルムを製造した。
A/B/Aの3層フィルムサンプル(A:EVAコポリマー、Exxon Mobilから入手可能なESCORENE(登録商標)UL909;B:Solvayから入手可能なPVDC組成物のM/B)は、複数の温度ゾーンを有するフィードブロックと200×0.6mmのシートダイとを備えた2つの押出機を使用して共押出することにより製造した。
単層フィルム及び多層フィルムに対して、IONISOS SAによる20kWの出力及び10MeVの電子加速器を使用して照射した。前記フィルムは、パレット層コンベアにより自動連続処理するコンピューターにより処理した。放射線量は、コンベアベルトの速度を制御することによって30kGy及び/又は120kGyに調整した。
ポリマーフィルムのYI測定は、ASTM規格E−313(D65及び10°)に従って、BYK Gardner分光光度計を使用して行った。
OTr測定は、MOCON,Incから入手可能なOX−TRAN(登録商標)2/21を使用して、23℃及び0%の相対湿度で、ASTM D−3985に従って行った。電量センサがフィルムを透過する酸素を測定できるように、各多層フィルムを、酸素を含む1台のチャンバーと、酸素がない別のチャンバーとの間に封じ込めた。
Claims (16)
- 組成物[組成物(C)]であって、
− 塩化ビニリデンポリマー[VDCポリマー];及び
− VDCポリマーの重量に対して0.05〜5重量%(wt%)の、少なくとも1種の下記式(I)のソルビン酸エステル[ソルビン酸エステル(I)]:
(式中、R1はC1〜C12の炭化水素基であり、好ましくはC1〜C6アルキル基である)
を含有する、組成物[組成物(C)]。 - 前記塩化ビニリデンポリマー中の塩化ビニリデン由来の繰り返し単位の量が、前記VDCポリマーの総重量に対して50〜99.5重量%、好ましくは60〜98重量%、より好ましくは82〜96重量%、最も好ましくは85〜95重量%で変動する、請求項1に記載の組成物(C)。
- 前記VDCポリマーが、塩化ビニル、マレイン酸無水物、イタコン酸、スチレン、スチレン誘導体、及び、下記一般式(I):

(式中、R1は水素及び−CH3から選択され、R2は−CN及び−COR3から選択され、R3は−OH及び−OR4から選択され、R4は、任意選択的に1つ以上の−OH基を有していていてもよいC1〜C18の直鎖又は分岐のアルキル基、C2〜C10エポキシアルキル基、及びC2〜C10アルコキシアルキル基であり、R3は−NR5R6ラジカルからも選択され、R5及びR6は、同じ又は異なり、水素、及び任意選択的に1つ以上の−OH基を有していてもよいC1〜C10アルキル基から選択される)
に対応するアクリルモノマー又はメタクリルモノマーからなる群から選択される、塩化ビニリデンと共重合可能な少なくとも1種のエチレン性不飽和モノマー由来の繰り返し単位を含むコポリマーである、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物(C)。 - 塩化ビニリデンと共重合可能な前記エチレン性不飽和モノマーが、マレイン酸無水物、イタコン酸、アクリルモノマー又はメタクリルモノマー(アクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸n−ブチル、メタクリル酸n−ブチル、アクリル酸2−エチルヘキシル、メタクリル酸2−エチルヘキシル、アクリル酸2−ヒドロキシエチル、メタクリル酸2−ヒドロキシエチル、メタクリル酸グリシジル、アクリル酸グリシジルからなる群から選択されるもの)、アクリロニトリル、メタクリロニトリル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリルアミド、N−メチロールアクリルアミド、及びN,N−ジ(アルキル)アクリルアミドからなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載の組成物(C)。
- 前記VDCポリマーが、塩化ビニリデン(VDC)/アクリル酸メチル(MA)コポリマー、特には90/10〜94/6のVDC/MAの重量比を有するVDC/MAコポリマーからなる群から選択される、請求項4に記載の組成物(C)。
- 前記ソルビン酸エステル(I)がソルビン酸エチルである、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の組成物(C)。
- 前記組成物(C)中の前記ソルビン酸エステル(I)の量が、VDCポリマーの総重量に対して少なくとも0.25重量%、より好ましくは少なくとも0.5重量%である;及び/又はVDCポリマーの総重量に対して最大4重量%、より好ましくは最大3重量%である、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の組成物(C)。
- 前記VDCポリマーと、前記ソルビン酸エステル(I)と、適切な場合には他の成分とが一緒に混錬される、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の組成物(C)の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の組成物(C)から製造される、層[層(B)]。
- 組成物(C)が最初に押出機に供給され、加熱及びせん断力の同時の作用により溶融状態にされ;前記溶融した組成物(C)が環状のダイを通して押し出され、ダイ表面から離れるにつれてそのようにして得られたチューブの中で気体が膨張し、結果として層(B)が得られる、請求項9に記載の層(B)の製造方法。
- 請求項9に記載の少なくとも1つの層(B)を含む多層組立体[組立体(A)]であって、前記層(B)が少なくとも1つの追加的な層[層(O)]に取り付けられている、多層組立体[組立体(A)]。
- 層(B)に取り付けられる層(O)を得るために使用される材料が、ポリオレフィン、特にはポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレン;ポリスチレン;例えば酢酸セルロース、プロピオン酸セルロース、硝酸セルロースなどのセルロースエステル;ポリ酢酸ビニル;ポリメタクリル酸メチル、ポリメタクリル酸ブチル;ポリビニルアルコール;ポリビニルアセタール;ポリアリルアルコール;ポリ酢酸アリル;例えばポリエチレンテレフタレートなどのポリエステル;例えばナイロンなどのポリアミドからなる群から選択される、請求項11に記載の組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの層(O)がポリエチレン(PE)を含む熱可塑性組成物から製造される、及び/又は少なくとも1つの層(O)がエチレン−酢酸ビニルコポリマー(EVA)を含む熱可塑性組成物から製造される、請求項12に記載の組立体。
- 組成物(C)の層(B)が、場合により1つ以上の追加的な接着層又は結合層[層(T)]の使用により、外層(O)と内層(O)との間に挟まれている多層組立体である、請求項11〜13のいずれか1項に記載の組立体。
- 層(B)が、共押出積層、接着積層、キャストシート押出、管状水冷押出、エアブロー押出、又は任意の他の同様のフィルム製造工程によって形成される組立体の中に組み込まれる、請求項11〜14のいずれか1項に記載の組立体の製造方法。
- 前記包装が、好ましくは、従来型のパウチ;ボイルインバッグパウチ;ターキーバッグ;収縮パウチ;耐油性パウチ;さび及び/又はカビ防止フィルム、パウチ及び袋;赤身肉保護フィルム、パウチ及び袋;水分調整フィルム;真空形成原料;窓フィルム;改良された耐候フィルム;幅広い温度で改良された耐酷使フィルム;ドラム及び他の容器の裏張り;パンの包装;チーズの包装;薬剤、医薬品、化粧品、香水などのための、気体及び液体の耐透過性が必要とされる容器;配管の覆い;フロアタイル;例えば王冠のライナーなどの瓶のキャップのライナーからなる群から選択される、請求項11〜13のいずれか1項に記載の組立体(A)から製造される包装。
