Description
イソシアネート成分は、少なくとも1つのポリイソシアネート及び/または少なくとも1つのポリイソシアネートから誘導される少なくとも1つのイソシアネート末端プレポリマーを含む。例示的な実施形態では、イソシアネート成分は追加の添加剤を含むことができる。
イソシアネート反応性成分は、少なくとも2つの異なるブチレンオキシド系ポリオール、すなわち、第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオール及び第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールのブレンドを含む。第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールは、200g/mol〜1,000g/mol(例えば、400g/mol〜800g/mol、500g/mol〜700g/mol、550g/mol〜650g/molなど)の数平均分子量を有し、2〜4の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有する、比較的低分子量のポリオールである。第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールは、1,000g/mol超かつ8,000g/mol未満(例えば、1,000g/mol〜7,000g/mol、1,000g/mol〜5,000g/mol、1,000g/mol〜4,000g/mol、1,500g/mol〜3,000g/mol、1,750g/mol〜2,500g/molなど)の数平均分子量を有し、2〜6の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有する、比較的高分子量のポリオールである。実施形態では、第1及び第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールのブレンドの総重量に基づいて、第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールは、5重量%〜95重量%の量で存在し、第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールは、5重量%〜95重量%の量で存在する。
得られた接着剤またはコーティングの特性を調整するために、硬化性組成物に種々の添加剤を添加することができ、例えば、当業者に既知の添加剤を使用することができる。添加剤は、イソシアネート成分及び/またはイソシアネート反応性成分の一部として添加されてもよい。例示的な添加剤は、触媒、鎖延長剤、接着促進剤、水分捕捉剤、硬化剤、pH中和剤、可塑剤、相溶化剤、充填剤(機能性充填剤、シリカ系充填剤、及び鉱物系充填剤など)、顔料/染料、ならびに/または架橋剤を含む。
硬化性組成物の混合及び塗布は、任意の簡便な方法で行うことができる。原材料が2つの成分(例えば、別個のイソシアネート成分及びイソシアネート反応性成分)に配合される場合、成分は、周囲温度または任意の所望の高温で結合され、基材及び/または基材の間に堆積され、反応させて硬化させる。成分の混合は、特定の用途及び利用可能な装置に依存して、任意の都合のよい方法で行ってよい。成分の混合は、バッチ式で、手で、または様々な種類のバッチ式混合装置を用いて混合した後、吹き付け、はけ塗り、注ぎ込み、ビーズの塗布及び/または他の適切な方法で塗布してよい。2つの成分は、別個のカートリッジにパッケージ化され、同時に静的混合装置を通って分配され、それらを混合して、典型的にはビーズとして表面上に適用してよい。例示的な実施形態では、ワンショット合成システムは、硬化性組成物を調製するために有用であり得る。
BOポリオール2を使用しないBOポリオール1の使用に基づく第1の比較例は、接着剤またはコーティングとして使用するために一般に求められている機械的特性よりも低い機械的特性を有すると判断される(すなわち、接着剤またはコーティングとして最適に使用するには高い粘着性)。BOポリオール1を使用しないBOポリオール2の使用に基づく第2の比較例は、接着剤またはコーティングとして使用するために一般に求められているヤング率を超える(すなわち、接着剤またはコーティングとして最適に使用するには非常に脆い/ガラス質)。
表4を参照すると、以下の実施例16、17、及び18は、それぞれ実施例11、12、及び13の配合物を用いて調製される。特に、実施例16、17、及び18は、接着促進剤を配合物に添加することによって接着性を評価し、冷間圧延鋼及びアルミニウム基材に関して硬化サンプルに対し重ね剪断試験を実施する。実施例16は、実施例16の総重量に基づいて、上記表3の実施例11に対応し、約0.01重量%の添加剤3を添加したものである。実施例17は、実施例17の総重量に基づいて、上記表3の実施例12に対応し、約0.01重量%の添加剤3を添加したものである。実施例18は、実施例18の総重量に基づいて、上記表3の実施例13に対応し、約0.01重量%の添加剤3を添加したものである。重ね剪断は、ASTM D−1002に従って測定される。
BOポリオールを含む配合物(例えば、接着剤配合物)を使用することの有用性は、硬化したシステムで実施される湿潤老化試験によって実証され得る。
Claims (10)
- 1つ以上のイソシアネートを含むイソシアネート成分であって、イソシアネート指数が90〜150である、イソシアネート成分と、
5重量%〜95重量%の第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオール及び5重量%〜95重量%の第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールを含むブレンドを含むイソシアネート反応性成分であって、前記第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールが200g/mol〜1,000g/molの数平均分子量及び2〜6の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有し、前記第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールが1,000g/mol超かつ8,000g/mol未満の数平均分子量及び2〜4の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有し、前記ブレンドが前記イソシアネート反応性成分中のポリオールの総重量の少なくとも50重量%を占める、イソシアネート反応性成分と、の反応生成物を含む、硬化性組成物。 - 前記第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールが、アルキレンオキシドの総重量に基づいて75重量%〜100重量%のブチレンオキシドから誘導され、3の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールが、2の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有するポリオキシブチレン−ポリオキシプロピレンポリオールまたは2の公称ヒドロキシル官能価を有するポリオキシブチレン−ポリオキシエチレンポリオールである、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールが、1,500g/mol〜3,000g/molの数平均分子量を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分中の前記第1のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールの重量パーセンテージの、前記イソシアネート反応性成分中の前記第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールの重量パーセンテージに対する比率が、0.1〜3.5の範囲である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記比率が0.1〜3.5の範囲のより高い端にあるとき、硬化性組成物の硬化生成物は、前記比率が0.1〜3.5の範囲のより低い端にあるときに比べて、より高い引張り強度、より低い破断点伸び率、より高い推定ヤング率、及びより高いガラス転移温度を有し、前記範囲の前記より低い端が前記範囲の前記より高い端と重ならない、請求項5に記載の組成物。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、前記第1及び第2のブチレンオキシド系ポリオールとは異なるポリエーテルポリオールをさらに含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記イソシアネート成分が、1重量%〜35重量%のイソシアネート基含有量を有する、前記イソシアネート成分の総重量に基づいて20重量%〜100重量%の1つ以上のイソシアネート末端プレポリマーを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性組成物を含む、ポリウレタン系接着剤。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性組成物を含む、ポリウレタン系コーティング。
