Abstract
Description
BO/POプレポリマーは、BO/POポリオール及びISONATE(商標)50 OPを用いて調製する。具体的には、53グラムのISONATE(商標)50 OPを25℃で3口丸底フラスコに加える。次いで、乾燥窒素によるパージを行いながら、1滴の塩化ベンゾイルを3口丸底フラッシュに加える。次いで、47グラムのBO/POポリオールを室温でフラスコに加え、反応混合物を形成する。オーバーヘッド撹拌機を300rpmで使用して反応混合物を撹拌し、30分かけて80℃まで加熱して反応混合物中のプレポリマーの形成を促進する。反応混合物をさらに2.5時間80℃に維持する。3時間後、まだ80℃付近の温度にある間に、反応混合物をガラスジャーに移し、真空チャンバ内で30分間脱気する。反応混合物中に得られたプレポリマーは、約15.8wt%の遊離イソシアネート基(すなわち、NCO)含有量を有する。
BOプレポリマーは、下の表4のAサイドの配合に従って、BOポリオール及びISONATE(商標)50 OPを用いて調製する。具体的には、57グラムのISONATE(商標)50 OPを25℃で3口丸底フラスコに加える。次いで、乾燥窒素によるパージを行いながら、1滴の塩化ベンゾイルを3口丸底フラッシュに加える。次いで、43グラムのBOポリオールを室温でフラスコに加え、反応混合物を形成する。オーバーヘッド撹拌機を300rpmで使用して反応混合物を撹拌し、30分かけて80℃まで加熱して反応混合物中のプレポリマーの形成を促進する。反応混合物をさらに2.5時間80℃に維持する。3時間後、まだ80℃付近の温度にある間に、反応混合物をガラスジャーに移し、真空チャンバ内で30分間脱気する。この材料の遊離イソシアネート含有量(%NCO)は、約16.5%である。
Claims (10)
- 産業用容器内に保護コーティングを形成するための噴霧可能なポリウレタンベースの反応系であって、
ポリオール成分とイソシアネート成分との反応生成物である第1の成分であって、前記ポリオール成分は、第1のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールの総重量に基づいて少なくとも50wt%のポリオキシブチレン含有量を有する第1のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールを含み、前記イソシアネート成分は、少なくとも1種のポリイソシアネートを含み、前記第1の成分の粘度は、25℃で1500cP未満である、第1の成分と、
第2のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールの総重量に基づいて少なくとも50wt%のポリオキシブチレン含有量を有する第2のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールを含む第2の成分であって、前記第2の成分の粘度は、25℃で1500cP未満であり、60℃〜80℃の温度範囲内での第1の成分及び前記第2の成分の前記粘度の差は、−150cP〜150cPである、第2の成分と、を含み、
前記ポリオール成分及び前記第2の成分の群から選択される少なくとも1つは、一級ヒドロキシル含有ポリオールを含み、前記第1の成分と前記第2の成分との反応生成物は、少なくとも1500psiの引張強度及び少なくとも400の破断伸長率を有する、前記反応系。 - 前記第1のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオール及び前記第2のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールは、各々、独立して、1.6〜3.5の官能価及び1500〜3000の数平均分子量を有し、
前記一級ヒドロキシル含有ポリオールは、1.6〜3.5の官能価及び200〜10,000の数平均分子量を有する、請求項1に記載の前記反応系。 - 60℃での前記第1の成分及び前記第2の成分の前記粘度は、各々、220cP未満であり、80℃での前記第1の成分及び前記第2の成分の前記粘度は、各々、110cP未満である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の前記反応系。
- 前記ポリオール成分は、一級ヒドロキシル容器ポリオールを含み、前記第1のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールの量は、前記ポリオール成分中の前記一級ヒドロキシル容器ポリオールの量よりも多い、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の前記反応系。
- 前記第2の成分は、前記一級ヒドロキシル容器ポリオールを含み、前記第2のブチレンオキシド−プロピレンオキシドコポリマーポリオールの量は、前記第2の成分中の前記一級ヒドロキシル容器ポリオールの量よりも多い、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の前記反応系。
- 前記第1の成分対前記第2の成分の体積比は、60℃〜80℃の前記温度範囲内で0.95:1.05〜1.05:0.95である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の前記反応系。
- 前記第2の成分は、少なくとも1種のアミン系硬化剤を有する硬化性成分を含み、前記硬化性成分は、前記第2の成分の総重量の5wt%〜50wt%を占める、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の前記反応系。
- 前記第1の成分中の前記一級ヒドロキシル含有ポリオール及び前記第2の成分中の前記一級ヒドロキシル含有ポリオールに由来する単位の群から選択される少なくとも1つは、前記第1及び第2の成分を合わせた総重量の5wt%〜30wt%を占める、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の前記反応系。
- 少なくとも1500psiの引張強度及び少なくとも400の破断伸長率を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の反応系から形成される保護コーティング。
- 37wt%塩化水素水溶液に25℃で7日間曝露した後、少なくとも500psiの第2の引張強度及び少なくとも300の第2の破断伸長率を有し、
30wt%硫酸水溶液に25℃で7日間曝露した後、少なくとも1500psiの引張強度及び少なくとも400の破断伸長率を維持し、
ディーゼル燃料に25℃曝露で7日間曝露した後、少なくとも500psiの第3の引張強度及び少なくとも100の第2の破断伸長率を有する、請求項9に記載の前記保護コーティング。
