Abstract
Description
本実施形態では、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示装置、特に、可撓性を有する表示装置が折り曲げ動作を繰り返されることで生じる損傷、機能損失を抑制する構造を説明する。具体的には、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示装置、特に、可撓性を有する表示装置に含まれる湾曲領域及び表示領域と、表示領域に含まれる画素が有する表示素子とトランジスタの配列及び配置を説明する。
図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示装置100が有する表示領域106の平面模式図である。
本実施形態では、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示装置、特に、可撓性を有する表示装置が折り曲げ動作を繰り返されることで生じる損傷、機能損失を抑制する構造を、可撓性を有する表示装置に含まれる画素の平面模式図及び断面図を用いて説明する。なお、第1実施形態と同様の構成に関しては説明を省略することがある。
図7に、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示装置が有する画素回路PXの回路図を示す。なお、以下で説明する画素回路の回路構成は一例であって、これに限定されるものではない。
以下、表示領域106の構成に関し、図8乃至図12を用いて説明する。
本実施形態では、第1実施形態及び第2実施形態とは別の表示領域の構成を説明する。第1実施形態及び第2実施形態と同様の構成に関しては説明を省略することがある。本実施形態で述べる表示領域の構成は、湾曲領域の中心線(Y方向に伸延する方向)に対して、画素回路をミラー配置にする。
本実施形態では、第1乃至第3実施形態とは別の表示領域の構成を説明する。第1乃至第3実施形態と同様の構成に関しては説明を省略することがある。本実施形態で述べる表示領域の構造は、トランジスタ間の間隔が異なる。
本実施形態では、X方向に湾曲領域を有する表示装置の構成を説明する。第1乃至第4実施形態と同様の構成に関しては説明を省略することがある。

- 一方向及び前記一方向と交差する方向に複数の表示素子が配列する表示領域と、
前記表示領域と重なり、前記一方向と交差する方向に伸延する湾曲領域とを含み、
前記複数の表示素子の各々は、トランジスタが電気的に接続され、
前記複数の表示素子のうち、前記湾曲領域に重なる表示素子に電気的に接続される前記トランジスタは前記湾曲領域の外側に配置されること、

- 前記無機化合物は、酸化ケイ素や窒化酸化ケイ素、酸化窒化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素のうち、少なくとも一つを含むこと、を特徴とする請求項14に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1バリアフィルム及び前記第2バリアフィルムは、無機化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の表示装置。
