Abstract
Description
本願は、2006年11月9日に出願の米国特許出願第11/598,206号の部分継続出願である2010年4月30日に出願の米国特許出願第12/771,105号の優先権を主張するものであって、かつその継続出願であり、その内容は参照することにより本明細書に組み込まれる。
例示的なホワイトニング組成物の調製および作用光による活性化
4mgのエオシンB、1mgのエリスロシンB、450mgのヒューズドシリカおよび45mgの過ホウ酸ナトリウムを混合してプレミックスを調製した。これとは別に、酢酸ナトリウム溶液を使用して、過酸化水素の50%溶液のpHをpH6に調節した。その後、調節した過酸化水素溶液約4〜6mlを、プラスチック製の混合チャンバー内でプレミックスに加え、直ちに塗付した。
組成物のホワイトニング効果
本発明の例示的組成物と、ローダミンBおよび過酸化水素を含む組成物であるSMARTBLEACHレーザーティースホワイトニングシステムとの比較研究を、10人のボランティアで行った。ホワイトニング組成物を塗付する前に、各患者の歯のシェードを記録した。
作用光源の影響
実施例1の組成物によるホワイトニングにおいて、種々の作用光源の影響を比較する研究を、28人のボランティアについて行った。各患者に対して、漂白処置の前、3〜4日間、予防処置を行った。ホワイトニング組成物を塗付する前に、各患者の歯のシェードを記録した。
光吸収の臨床的評価および蛍光放出の定量的測定
表1に記載の各歯のホワイトニング組成物のサンプルをそれぞれ混合した後、シリンジから押し出し、押し出した各サンプルの1部を作用光に60秒間暴露させ、残りは暴露させなかった。色の変化を目視で評価するとともに、光暴露開始直後に、組成物の写真を撮影した。
歯のホワイトニングの結果
エオシンYおよびエリスロシンBを含有する組成物と、アシッドレッド388を単独で、アシッドレッド92を単独で、そしてFD&C赤色40を単独で含有する組成物を、上記表1のように調製した。各サンプル組成物を、直接、かつ同時にヒト被験者の歯で試験した。各被験者の口腔を4つの区画(上顎左側、下顎左側、上顎右側および下顎右側)に分割した。歯のホワイトニングを評価するための光学的位置を固定した状態に保つために、それぞれの場合に、本発明の組成物は右側の四分割区画に塗付し、比較用組成物は左側の四分割区画に塗付した。組成物を、作用光(Blue Phase LED光硬化装置)に、歯1本当たり20秒間暴露した。各組成物の効果を、Vita(登録商標)Brightness scaleにより採点した。結果を表2に示す。
歯のホワイトニングの結果
エオシンYを単独で、エリスロシンBを単独で、エオシンYおよびエリスロシンBの両方を含有する組成物と、アシッドレッド388、アシッドレッド92を単独または組み合わせて、そしてFD&C赤色40を含有する組成物を、上記実施例4のように調製した。各サンプル組成物を、ヒト被験者の歯で直接試験した。組成物を、作用光(Blue Phase LED光硬化装置)に、歯1本当たり20秒間暴露した。各組成物の効果を、Vita(登録商標)Brightness scaleにより採点した。結果を表3に示す。
