Abstract
【解決手段】自動車の左右領域を撮像する左右の撮像手段(サイドカメラ)1L,1Rと、各撮像手段1L,1Rで撮像した画像を表示する左右の表示手段(モニター)2L,2Rと、撮像手段の異常を検出する異常検出手段52と、検出された異常に基づいて左右の表示手段2L,2Rの表示状態を制御する制御手段(ボディECU)5を備えるカメラモニターシステムであって、制御手段5は、検出された異常の状態に応じて左右の表示手段2L,2Rをそれぞれ個別に低消費電力状態に制御する。

Description
(a)制御手段は、低消費電力状態として、左右の表示手段、例えば左右のモニターを、「消灯」、「ブラックアウト」、「表示」の形態に制御する。
(b)異常検出手段は、左右の撮像手段の異常の形態として、「全故障」、「フリーズ」、「画質低下」のいずれかを検出する。
(c)制御手段は、自動車が走行又は停車している状態、運転者が乗車又は降車している状態、自動車の左右のターンシグナルランプの点滅状態の各状態と、異常検出手段で検出された「全故障」、「フリーズ」、「画質低下」との組み合わせにより、左右の各表示手段を「消灯」、「ブラックアウト」、「表示」の形態に制御する。
*「画質低下」:カメラ1で撮像され、モニター2に表示される画像の一部が黒潰れし、あるいは白飛びする等、画像の一部が欠損された状態。画像の全部又は一部がピントぼけの状態。画像のコントラストや演色性の異常。
*「フリーズ」:撮像した画像をモニター2に表示したときに、その画像が特定の画像を出力したまま固着している状態。
*「全故障」:カメラ1から画像信号が全く出力されず、あるいはカメラECU3での信号処理が行われず、結果として画像信号がモニターECU4に入力されず、モニター2に画像を表示することができない状態。
*「走行中」:自動車が走行している。
*「停車中」:自動車が停車している。
*「有人」:運転席に運転者が着座している。
*「無人」:運転席に運転者が着座していない。
*「右指示」:右ターンシグナルランプが点滅しており、自動車が右方向に進行する。
*「左指示」:左ターンシグナルランプが点滅しており、自動車が左方向に進行する。
*「直進」:左右のターンシグナルランプが共に点滅し、あるいは消灯しており、自動車が直進状態、換言すれば左右に進行しない状態にある。
*ボディECU5はクリーナ駆動部51で左右のサイドマーカーランプのクリーナ6を駆動し、アウターカバーの後部表面を清浄する。この清浄の形態として、予め設定されタイミング時に清浄を行う「定常清浄」と、指示されたときにのみ清浄を行う「指示清浄」の形態がある。
*「消灯」:サイドカメラ1、カメラECU3、モニターECU4、モニター2の電源をOFFし、システムを停止する。
*「ブラックアウト」:モニター2をスタンバイ状態とし、サイドカメラ1、カメラECU3、モニターECU4は省電力状態に制御する。この状態ではモニター2での表示は全黒表示になるが、正常状態の復旧時には瞬時に画像表示を実行することが可能にある。
*「表示」:モニター2を通常動作し、表示画面での画像表示を継続する。

*「消灯」:カメラ1、カメラECU3、モニターECU4、モニター2の電源をOFFし、システムを停止する。
*「ブラックアウト」:モニター2をスタンバイ状態とし、カメラ1、カメラECU3、モニターECU4は省電力状態に制御する。この状態ではモニター2での表示は全黒表示になるが、正常状態の復旧時には瞬時に画像表示を実行することが可能にある。
*「表示」:モニター2を通常動作し、表示画面での画像表示を継続する。
Claims (5)
- 車両の外部左右領域をそれぞれ撮像する左右の撮像手段と、各撮像手段で撮像した画像をそれぞれ表示する左右の表示手段と、前記左右の撮像手段のそれぞれの異常を検出する異常検出手段と、検出された異常に基づいて前記左右の表示手段の表示状態を制御する制御手段とを備えるカメラモニターシステムであって、前記制御手段は、検出された異常の状態に応じて前記左右の表示手段をそれぞれ個別に低消費電力状態に制御することを特徴とするカメラモニターシステム。
- 前記制御手段は、自動車の状態を検出する手段を備え、検出した自動車の状態と、前記異常検出手段で検出された異常の形態との組合せにより前記低消費電力状態の制御を行う請求項1に記載のカメラモニターシステム。
- 前記制御手段は、前記低消費電力状態として、前記左右の表示手段を、「消灯」、「ブラックアウト」、「表示」の形態に制御する請求項1又は2に記載のカメラモニターシステム。
- 前記異常検出手段は、前記左右の撮像手段の異常の形態として、「全故障」、「フリーズ」、「画質低下」のいずれかを検出する請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載のカメラモニターシステム。
- 前記制御手段は、自動車が走行又は停車している状態、運転者が乗車又は降車している状態、自動車の左右のターンシグナルランプの点滅状態の各状態と、前記異常検出手段で検出された「全故障」、「フリーズ」、「画質低下」との組み合わせにより、前記左右の表示手段を「消灯」、「ブラックアウト」、「表示」の形態に制御する請求項2に記載のカメラモニターシステム。
