Claims (6)
- チタンよりも溶融温度が低い金属からなる溶融金属に対して所定の処理を行う溶融金属処理部材の表面に金属間化合物を含む表面層を形成する溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法であって、
チタンからなる基材の表面の不純物を除去する前処理工程と、
前記前処理された基材の表面にアルミニウムを溶射するアルミニウム溶射工程と、
前記アルミニウムが溶射された基材を、610℃〜1150℃までの間の温度で加熱して前記基材の内部にアルミニウムを拡散浸透させる拡散浸透工程と
を備えたことを特徴とする溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法。 - 前記拡散浸透工程での加熱温度を前記溶融金属の溶融温度以上にした請求項1に記載の溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法。
- 前記拡散浸透工程が、30分〜360分間行われる請求項1または2に記載の溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法。
- 前記拡散浸透工程が、610℃から前記アルミニウムの溶融温度までの間の温度で加熱して前記アルミニウムを前記基材の内部に固体拡散浸透させる固体拡散浸透工程と、前記固体拡散浸透工程で処理された前記基材を前記アルミニウムの溶融温度から1150℃までの間の温度で加熱して前記基材に固体拡散浸透されたアルミニウムの少なくとも一部を前記基材の内部に液体拡散浸透させる液体拡散浸透工程とからなっている請求項1ないし3のいずれか一つに記載の溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法。
- 前記溶融金属処理部材が、前記溶融金属を搬送するラドル、前記溶融金属の表面に浮かぶノロを掬い取るためのノロ掻きまたは前記溶融金属をくみ取る湯くみである請求項1ないし4のうちのいずれか一つに記載の溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法。
- 前記拡散浸透工程によって形成された拡散層の表面にコーティング剤を被覆するコーティング工程を備えた請求項1ないし5のうちのいずれか一つに記載の溶融金属処理部材の表面層形成方法。
