Abstract
Description
(a)セリウム(III)塩、セリウム(IV)化合物および少なくとも金属(M)の塩を含む溶液を提供する工程であって;セリウム(III)塩/セリウム(IV)化合物モル比は、50/1〜5000/1の間に含まれる工程と、
(b)この溶液を塩基と不活性雰囲気下で接触させ、それによって沈殿物が得られる工程と、
(c)工程(b)で得られた媒体を不活性雰囲気下で熱処理に供し、それによって組成物が得られる工程であって、前記組成物の金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比は、0.1〜15%の間に含まれる工程と
を含み、工程(a)、(b)または(c)の少なくとも1つは、硝酸イオンの存在下で行われる、プロセスに関する。
本発明の他の特徴、詳細および利点は、以下に続く説明および本発明を例示することを意図する具体的な、しかし非限定的な実施例を読むとさらにより十分に明らかになる。
減少率(%)=(300℃/4時間焼成後の比表面積−800℃/4時間焼成後の比表面積)/300℃/4時間焼成後の比表面積x100に従うその比表面積の変化に対応する。
− 遷移金属元素、例えば、Zr、

(d)前の工程で、特に工程(c)の最後の後で得られた生成物を酸性化および洗浄する工程、ならびに/または
(e)前の工程で、特に工程(c)もしくは工程(d)の最後の後で得られた生成物を焼成する工程
を任意選択で含んでもよい。
− 20〜100m2/gの間に含まれる、300℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積、および
− 1〜60%の間、好ましくは1〜40%の間、より好ましくは1〜35%の間に含まれる、800℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積の減少率
を示す組成物に関する。

− 金属(M)は、希土類元素およびアルカリ土類金属元素からなる群から選択され;前記金属は、セリウムより高いイオン半径値を有し、ならびに
− 金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウムモル比は、0.1〜15%の間に含まれる。
− 20〜80m2/gの間に含まれる、300℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積、および
− 1〜35%の間に含まれる、800℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積の減少率
を示し得る。
− 金属(M)は、遷移金属元素またはポスト遷移金属元素からなる群から選択され、前記金属は、セリウムよりも低いイオン半径値を有し、および
− 金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウムモル比は、0.1〜15%の間に含まれる。
− 60〜100m2/gの間に含まれる、300℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積、および
− 1〜60%の間に含まれ、好ましくは1〜50%の間に含まれる、800℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積の減少率
を示し得る。
− 少なくとも本発明の組成物を含む懸濁液および研磨されるべき基板を接触させる工程と、
− 基板上で研磨を行う工程と
を含む方法に関する。
− 少なくとも本発明の組成物を含む懸濁液を提供する工程と、
− 少なくとも懸濁液および研磨されるべき基板を接触させる工程と、
− 基板上で研磨を行う工程と
を含む方法に関する。
137.7gの2.89M3価硝酸セリウム溶液(CeO2を単位として39.9gのセリウム)、24.4gの60%硝酸、および92.8モル%の4価セリウムイオンを含有する0.32gの1.49M硝酸セリウム溶液(CeO2を単位として0.057gのセリウム))を添加することによって、硝酸セリウムの希釈溶液を調製する。750のセリウム(III)/セリウム(IV)モル比を有するこの溶液を、半密閉貯槽(reservoir)中に充填し、次いで、激しい撹拌および窒素通気によって1時間脱気する。
90モル%以上の4価セリウムイオンを含有する、CeO2を単位として50gの硝酸セリウム溶液を量り分け、脱イオン水で1lの合計量に調整する。得られた溶液を撹拌下で100℃に加熱し、この温度で30分間維持し、周囲温度まで冷却させて、それにより、セリウム懸濁液を得る。
C3.1 酸化Ce/酸化La組成物
母液を除去した後に10.9gの硝酸ランタン溶液(La2O3を単位として2.5gのランタン)を添加することを除いて比較例2におけるのと同様に、質量比95:5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比5.6%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化ランタンの複合酸化物を調製する。
母液を除去した後に10.5gの硝酸プラセオジム溶液(Pr6O11を単位として2.5gのプラセオジム)を添加することを除いて比較例2におけるのと同様に、質量比95:5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比5.3%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化プラセオジムの複合酸化物を調製する。
母液を除去した後に12.4gの硝酸ネオジム溶液(Nd2O3を単位として2.5gのネオジム)を添加することを除いて比較例2におけるのと同様に、質量比95:5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比5.3%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化ネオジムの複合酸化物を調製する。
母液を除去した後に26.7gの硝酸ジルコニウム溶液(ZrO2を単位として5.3gのジルコニウム)を添加することを除いて比較例2におけるのと同様に、質量比90:10(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比15.4%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化ジルコニウムの複合酸化物を調製する。
1.1 酸化Ce/酸化La組成物
この実施例は、質量比95:5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比5.6%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化ランタンの複合酸化物に関する。
10.1gの硝酸プラセオジム溶液(Pr6O11を単位として2.0gのプラセオジム)を硝酸ランタン溶液の代わりに添加することを除いて実施例1.1におけるのと同様に、質量比95:5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比5.3%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化プラセオジムの複合酸化物を調製する。
9.9gの硝酸ネオジム溶液(Nd2O3を単位として2.0gのネオジム)を硝酸ランタン溶液の代わりに添加することを除いて実施例1.1におけるのと同様に、質量比95:5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比5.3%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化ネオジムの複合酸化物を調製する。
10.1gの硝酸ジルコニウム溶液(ZrO2を単位として2.0gのジルコニウム)を硝酸ランタン溶液の代わりに添加し、92.8モル%4価セリウムイオンを含有する1.49M硝酸セリウム溶液の量をセリウム(III)/セリウム(IV)モル比100と一致させるために0.92g〜2.3g(CeO2を単位として0.4gのセリウム)に変えることを除いて実施例1.1におけるのと同様に、質量比98.5:1.5(金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比2.1%)での酸化セリウムおよび酸化ジルコニウムの複合酸化物を調製する。
上記実施例で得られた組成物を、300℃で4時間、次いで、同様に800℃で4時間焼成後のそれらの熱安定性について試験した。結果を表1に示す。
SBET変化:純酸化セリウム組成物のSBETと比較しての800℃/4時間で焼成後のSBETの変化のパーセント;したがって、組成物についてのSBET変化=(組成物の800℃/4時間でのSBET−純CeO2の800℃/4時間でのSBET)/純CeO2の800℃/4時間でのSBETx100;ここで、純CeO2の800℃/4時間でのSBETは、800℃で4時間焼成後の純CeO2の比表面積であり、純CeO2は、組成物と同じプロセスで得られる(金属Mの塩がないことを除いて)。
Claims (22)
- 酸化セリウムおよび少なくとも金属(M)酸化物を含む組成物を調製するためのプロセスであって、以下の工程:
(a)セリウム(III)塩、セリウム(IV)化合物および金属(M)の塩を含む溶液を提供する工程であって;セリウム(III)塩/セリウム(IV)化合物モル比が、50/1〜5000/1の間に含まれる、工程と、
(b)この溶液を、不活性雰囲気下で、塩基と接触させ、それによって、沈殿物が得られる工程と、
(c)工程(b)で得られた媒体を不活性雰囲気下で熱処理に供し、それによって、組成物が得られる工程であって、前記組成物の金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウム(IV)モル比は、0.1〜15%の間に含まれる、工程と
を含み、工程(a)、(b)または(c)の少なくとも1つは、硝酸イオンの存在下で行われる、プロセス。 - 前記プロセスが、前の工程で得られた生成物を酸性化および洗浄する工程(d)を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 工程(d)での酸性化後の媒体のpHが、2〜5の間に含まれる、請求項2に記載のプロセス。
- 前記プロセスが、工程(c)または(d)の終了後、前の工程で得られた生成物を焼成する工程(e)を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- セリウム(III)塩/セリウム(IV)化合物のモル比が、75/1〜500/1の間に含まれる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 金属(M)が、Zr、Al、La、Pr、Nd、YおよびSrからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウムのモル比が、1〜7%の間に含まれる、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 金属(M)酸化物/酸化セリウムのモル比が0.1〜15%の間に含まれる、酸化セリウムおよび金属(M)酸化物を含む組成物であって、
− 20〜100m2/gの間に含まれる、300℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積、および
− 1〜60%の間に含まれる、800℃で4時間焼成後の比表面積の減少率
を示す、組成物。 - 前記組成物が、酸化セリウムおよび金属(M)酸化物を含む一次粒子からできている二次粒子を含み、前記一次粒子は、10〜60nmの間に含まれる平均サイズD50を有する、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 一次粒子の平均サイズD50が、15〜40nmの間に含まれる、請求項9に記載の組成物。
- 一次粒子が、前記平均サイズの値の最大で30%の標準偏差を有する平均サイズD50を有する、請求項9または10に記載の組成物。
- 金属(M)が、希土類元素およびアルカリ土類金属元素からなる群から選択され、前記金属(M)は、セリウムよりも高いイオン半径値を有する、請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、
− 20〜80m2/gの間に含まれる、300℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積、および
− 1〜35%の間に含まれる、800℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積の減少率
を示す、請求項12に記載の組成物。 - 金属(M)が、遷移金属元素およびポスト遷移金属元素からなる群から選択され、前記金属(M)は、セリウムよりも低いイオン半径値を有する、請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、
− 60〜100m2/gの間に含まれる、300℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積、および
− 1〜60%の間に含まれる、800℃で4時間焼成後の、比表面積の減少率
を示す、請求項14に記載の組成物。 - 請求項8〜15のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を得るための、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に定義されたプロセスによって得られた組成物または請求項8〜15のいずれか一項に定義されたとおりの組成物、および液相を含む、懸濁液。
- 基板の一部を除去する方法であって、
− 少なくとも請求項16に記載の懸濁液および研磨されるべき基板を接触させる工程と、
− 基板上で研磨を行う工程と
を含む、方法。 - 基板の一部を除去する方法であって、
− 少なくとも請求項16に記載の懸濁液を提供する工程と、
− 少なくとも懸濁液および研磨されるべき基板を接触させる工程と、
− 基板上で研磨を行う工程と
を含む、方法。 - 少なくとも請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得られた組成物または請求項8〜15のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む、触媒システム。
- 請求項20に記載の触媒システムが使用されることを特徴とする、内燃機関からの排ガスを処理するためのプロセス。
- ガスを請求項20に記載の触媒システムと接触させることを含む、空気を浄化するためのプロセス。
