○25〜120kg/m3(25〜120g/L)の量の酸化セリウム、

○酸化マグネシウム及び/又は酸化バリウムを含有し、
−上層であるウォッシュコート層Bは、下層であるウォッシュコート層A上に配置されており、かつ
○アルカリ土類化合物及びアルカリ化合物は含有せず、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○50〜180kg/m3(50〜180g/L)の量の酸化セリウムを含有する。
ここで、

下層のウォッシュコート層Aは、
○25〜120kg/m3(25〜120g/L)の量の酸化セリウム、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○酸化マグネシウム及び/又は酸化バリウム、を含有し、
上層であるウォッシュコート層Bは、下層であるウォッシュコート層A上に配置されており、かつ
○アルカリ土類化合物及びアルカリ化合物は含有せず、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○50〜180kg/m3(50〜180g/L)の量の酸化セリウムを含有し、
SCR触媒は、CuOとしてSCR触媒に関して計算したときに1〜10重量%の銅を含有するゼオライト又はチャバザイト構造を有するモレキュラーシーブを含む。
ウォッシュコート層Aは支持体上に直接配置され、酸化セリウム、アルカリ土類化合物、及び/又はアルカリ化合物に加え、白金及びパラジウムを含有し、かつ
ウォッシュコート層Bはウォッシュコート層A上に配置され、酸化セリウムに加え、白金及びパラジウムを含有し、アルカリ化合物及びアルカリ土類化合物は含まず、
kg/m3(g/L)で支持体の体積に関して計算したとき、ウォッシュコート層A中の酸化セリウムに対するウォッシュコート層B中の酸化セリウムの比が1:2〜3:1であり、kg/m3(g/L)で支持体の体積に関して計算したとき、ウォッシュコート層A及びウォッシュコート層B中の酸化セリウムの合計が100〜240kg/m3(100〜240g/L)であり、排気ガスは、最初に窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒中を通過し、続いてSCR触媒中を通過するよう、触媒系を通過することにより特徴づけられる。
a)本発明に準拠する触媒系を製造するため、ハニカム構造を有するセラミック担体を、ランタンにより安定化したアルミナ上に担持されたPt及びPd、47kg/m3(47g/L)の酸化セリウム、に加え17kg/m3(17g/L)酸化バリウム及び15kg/m3(15g/L)酸化マグネシウムを含有する第1のウォッシュコート層Aで被覆する。酸化バリウム又は酸化マグネシウムのいずれも酸化セリウム上に担持されない。このプロセスにおいて、セラミック担体の体積に関し、Pt及びPdの充填量は1.77kg/m3(1.77g/L)又は0.177kg/m3(0.177g/L)とし、ウォッシュコート層の総充填量は181kg/m3(181g/L)とする。
工程a)では、使用する酸化セリウムの量を70kg/m3(70g/L)にし、工程b)では、使用する酸化セリウムの量を70kg/m3(70g/L)にするよう変更を加え、実施例1の工程a)〜d)を繰り返す。
工程a)では、使用する酸化セリウムの量を93kg/m3(93g/L)にし、工程b)では、使用する酸化セリウムの量を47kg/m3(47g/L)にするよう変更を加え、実施例1の工程a)〜d)を繰り返す。
工程a)では、使用する酸化セリウムの量を47kg/m3(47g/L)ではなく116kg/m3(116g/L)にし、工程b)では、使用する酸化セリウムの量を94kg/m3(94g/L)ではなく24kg/m3(24g/L)にするよう変更を加え、実施例1の工程a)〜d)を繰り返す。
本発明に準拠する触媒系を更に製造するため、下表1に記載の窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒又は表2に記載のSCR触媒を実施例1a)又はb)同様に製造し、表3に記載の触媒系に組み込んだ。
a)KS1、KS2、KS3、及びVKS1を、最初に熱水条件下で800℃で16時間エージングした。
b)本発明による触媒系KS1、KS2、KS3、並びに比較触媒系VKS1によるNOx変換を、触媒上流温度の関数とし、いわゆるNOx変換試験下でモデルガス反応器内で求めた。
Claims (14)
- 窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒及びSCR触媒を含み、窒素酸化物を低減するための触媒系であって、前記SCR触媒は、8つの四面体形原子が最大の環サイズを有する小孔径のゼオライトと、遷移金属とを含有し、前記窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒は、支持体上の、少なくとも2層の触媒的に活性なウォッシュコート層A及びBから構成され、
前記ウォッシュコート層Aは前記支持体上に直接配置され、酸化セリウム、アルカリ土類化合物、及び/又はアルカリ化合物に加え、白金及びパラジウムを含有し、かつ
前記ウォッシュコート層Bは前記ウォッシュコート層A上に配置され、酸化セリウムに加え、白金及びパラジウムを含有し、アルカリ化合物及びアルカリ土類化合物は含まず、
kg/m3(g/L)で前記支持体の体積に関して計算したとき、ウォッシュコート層A中の酸化セリウムに対するウォッシュコート層B中の酸化セリウムの比が1:2〜3:1であり、kg/m3(g/L)で前記支持体の体積に関して計算したとき、前記ウォッシュコート層A及び前記ウォッシュコート層B中の酸化セリウムの合計が100〜240kg/m3(100〜240g/L)であることを特徴とする、触媒系。 - 前記ウォッシュコート層Bが、46〜180kg/m3(46〜180g/L)の量の酸化セリウムを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の触媒系。
- 前記ウォッシュコート層Aが、14〜95kg/m3(14〜95g/L)の量で酸化セリウムを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の触媒系。
- 前記支持体に充填される前記全てのウォッシュコートが、前記支持体の体積に関し300〜600kg/m3(300〜600g/L)であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。
- 前記ウォッシュコート層Aの充填量が、各場合において、前記支持体の体積に関し150〜500kg/m3(150〜500g/L)であり、前記ウォッシュコート層Bの充填量が、各場合において、前記支持体の体積に関し50〜300kg/m3(50〜300g/L)であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の触媒系。
- 前記ウォッシュコート層Aの充填量が、各場合において、前記支持体の体積に関し250〜300kg/m3(250〜300g/L)であり、前記ウォッシュコート層Bの充填量が、各場合において、前記支持体の体積に関し100〜200kg/m3(100〜200g/L)であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の触媒系。
- 前記ウォッシュコート層A及びBにおける前記白金のパラジウムに対する比が2:1〜18:1であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。
- 前記ウォッシュコート層A中のアルカリ土類化合物が、酸化マグネシウム、酸化バリウム、及び/又は酸化ストロンチウムであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。
- 前記SCR触媒が、AEI、CHA、KFI、ERI、LEV、MER、又はDDR構造型に属しコバルト、鉄、銅、又はこれらの金属の2種以上の混合物により置換されているゼオライトを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。
- 前記SCR触媒が、銅、鉄、又は銅及び鉄で置換されたチャバザイト型のゼオライトを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。
- 前記窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒が、
下層のウォッシュコート層A、
○14〜95kg/m3(14〜95g/L)の量の酸化セリウム、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○酸化マグネシウム及び/又は酸化バリウム、
−上層であるウォッシュコート層Bは、下層であるウォッシュコート層A上に配置されており、かつ
○アルカリ土類化合物及びアルカリ化合物は含有せず、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○46〜180kg/m3(46〜180g/L)の量の酸化セリウムを含有し、
前記SCR触媒は、CuOとして前記SCR触媒に関して計算したときに1〜10重量%の銅を含有するゼオライト又はチャバザイト構造を有するモレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。 - 前記窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒が、支持体上に、少なくとも2層の触媒的に活性なウォッシュコート層を含有しており、
ここで、
下層のウォッシュコート層Aは、
○25〜120kg/m3(25〜120g/L)の量の酸化セリウム、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○酸化マグネシウム及び/又は酸化バリウムを含有し、
上層であるウォッシュコート層Bは、下層であるウォッシュコート層A上に配置されており、かつ
○アルカリ土類化合物及びアルカリ化合物は含有せず、
○質量比8:1〜10:1の白金及びパラジウム、に加え、
○50〜180kg/m3(50〜180g/L)の量の酸化セリウムを含有し、
前記SCR触媒は、CuOとして前記SCR触媒に関して計算したときに1〜10重量%の銅を含有するゼオライト又はチャバザイト構造を有するモレキュラーシーブを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。 - 前記窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒及びSCR触媒が異なる支持体上に配置されること、又は前記窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒及びSCR触媒が同じ支持体上に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項以上に記載の触媒。
- リーン条件で運転されるエンジンにより駆動される自動車両の排気ガス中のNOxを変換するための方法であって、前記排気ガスは窒素酸化物を低減するための触媒系に送り込まれ、ここで、前記触媒系は窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒及びSCR触媒を含み、前記SCR触媒は、8つの四面体形原子が最大の環サイズを有する小孔径のゼオライトと、遷移金属とを含有し、窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒は、支持体上の、少なくとも2層の触媒的に活性なウォッシュコート層A及びBから構成され、
前記ウォッシュコート層Aは前記支持体上に直接配置され、酸化セリウム、アルカリ土類化合物、及び/又はアルカリ化合物に加え、白金及びパラジウムを含有し、かつ
前記ウォッシュコート層Bは前記ウォッシュコート層A上に配置され、酸化セリウムに加え、白金及びパラジウムを含有し、アルカリ化合物及びアルカリ土類化合物は含まず、
kg/m3(g/L)で前記支持体の体積に関して計算したとき、前記ウォッシュコート層A中の酸化セリウムに対する前記ウォッシュコート層B中の酸化セリウムの比が1:2〜3:1であり、kg/m3(g/L)で前記支持体の体積に関して計算したとき、前記ウォッシュコート層A及び前記ウォッシュコート層B中の酸化セリウムの合計が100〜240kg/m3(100〜240g/L)であり、
ここで前記排気ガスが、最初に窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒中を通過し、続いてSCR触媒中を通過することで、触媒系を通過することを特徴とする、方法。
