Abstract
【解決手段】内燃機関の吸気系に接続される吸気音低減装置は、連通管を介して吸気通路に接続された蛇腹状の弾性部材14を有し、ヘルムホルツ型共鳴要素としての吸気音低減作用に加え、弾性部材14の伸縮変形に伴う吸気音低減作用が得られる。さらに、弾性部材14は、弾性部材14の伸縮による1次共振に加えて、端面壁21の膜振動による2次共振を有し、両者の共振周波数を比較的近くに設定することで、反共振による音圧エネルギの低減作用が得られる。

上記弾性部材の上記基端を保持するベースプレートと、
上記弾性部材の内部に形成される容積室を内燃機関の吸気通路に連通させるように上記ベースプレートに一端が接続された連通管と、
を備えてなる内燃機関の吸気音低減装置であって、
上記蛇腹状弾性部材の軸方向の伸縮変形による第1の共振系と、上記端面壁の膜振動による第2の共振系と、を備え、
いずれか一方の1次共振周波数が30〜200Hzに設定され、他方の2次共振周波数が50〜300Hzに設定されている、ことを特徴としている。

Claims (4)
- 基端が開口するとともに先端が端面壁によって封止された略円筒状をなし、かつ周壁が蛇腹状に屈曲形成されてなる弾性部材と、
上記弾性部材の上記基端を保持するベースプレートと、
上記弾性部材の内部に形成される容積室を内燃機関の吸気通路に連通させるように上記ベースプレートに一端が接続された連通管と、
を備えてなる内燃機関の吸気音低減装置であって、
上記蛇腹状弾性部材の軸方向の伸縮変形による第1の共振系と、上記端面壁の膜振動による第2の共振系と、を備え、
いずれか一方の1次共振周波数が30〜200Hzに設定され、他方の2次共振周波数が50〜300Hzに設定されている、ことを特徴とする内燃機関の吸気音低減装置。 - 上記1次共振周波数と上記2次共振周波数との間隔が、15〜200Hzに設定されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の吸気音低減装置。
- 上記端面壁および上記周壁が、同じ弾性材料から形成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の吸気音低減装置。
- 上記端面壁が合成樹脂板からなり、弾性材料からなる上記周壁の端部外周部に、弾性材料からなる断面円弧形のエッジ部を介して支持されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の吸気音低減装置。
