Description
図2に示されるように、バンパRF10は、バンパRF10における車両前側部分を構成する「第一部材」としての、かつ「第一骨格部材」としての車両用の前側バンパリインフォースメント12(以下、「前側バンパRF12」という)と、バンパRF10における車両後側部分を構成する「第二部材」としての、かつ「第二骨格部材」としての車両用の後側バンパリインフォースメント14(以下、「後側バンパRF14」という)と、を含んで構成されている。前側バンパRF12及び後側バンパRF14は、長手方向を有する長尺状に形成され、車両幅方向を長手方向として配置される。
次に、バンパRF10の構成部材を振動溶着させる振動溶着機30について概説する。図3には、図1に示される振動溶着工程で用いられる振動溶着機30の要部の概略構成図が示されている。なお、図1に示される振動溶着工程は、公知の振動溶着機を用いて行うことができる。
次に、図6に示されるバンパRF10の製造方法について説明する。
なお、上記実施形態の変形例として、接合対象となる第一部材及び第二部材には、例えばロッカアウタパネル、ロッカリインフォースメント及びロッカインナパネル等のような他の部材(例えば車両骨格部材)が適用されてもよい。また、上記実施形態では、図1等に示されるように、第一骨格部材として前側バンパRF12、第二骨格部材として後側バンパRF14、補強部材としてバルクヘッド16がそれぞれ適用されているが、例えば、第一骨格部材としてロッカアウタパネルが適用され、第二骨格部材としてロッカインナパネルが適用されると共に、補強部材としてバルクヘッドやロッカリインフォースメントが適用されてもよい。

Claims (5)
- 熱可塑性樹脂材によってそれぞれ形成されている第一部材と第二部材とを互いに接触させて加圧及び振動により溶着する振動溶着工程を有する接合体の製造方法であって、
前記第二部材には前記第一部材と接合させる接合面に予め凹部を形成し、
前記振動溶着工程では、前記第二部材の前記接合面のうち前記凹部を除く部位と前記第一部材とを互いに接触させて加圧し、その接触部に振動による摩擦熱を発生させることで、前記接触部を溶融させて前記接触部を溶着すると共に、前記接触部から生じたバリの一部を前記凹部に入り込ませつつ前記接触部から前記凹部及びその対向部に伝えられた熱によって前記凹部及びその対向部と前記凹部に入り込んだバリとを溶融させることで、前記凹部及びその対向部を溶着して、前記第一部材と前記第二部材とを接合した接合体を製造する、接合体の製造方法。 - 前記第一部材及び前記第二部材は、長手方向を有する長尺状に形成され、その長手方向に直交する断面視での形状の両端部に一対のフランジ部をそれぞれ備えると共に、双方の前記一対のフランジ部同士が接合されることで閉断面を形成しており、
前記凹部は、前記第二部材の長手方向に直交する断面視で前記第二部材の前記フランジ部の接合面の中間部位に設定されている、請求項1に記載の接合体の製造方法。 - 前記凹部は、前記第二部材の長手方向に沿ってその略全長に亘って延在している溝部とされている、請求項2に記載の接合体の製造方法。
- 前記第一部材及び前記第二部材は、長手方向を有する長尺状に形成され、その長手方向に直交する断面視での形状がそれぞれハット形状とされて一対のフランジ部と断面U字状のU字状部とを備え、前記U字状部が基壁部及び一対の対向壁部で構成され、
前記第一部材としての車両用の第一骨格部材と、
前記第一骨格部材と前記一対のフランジ部同士が接合されることで前記第一骨格部材とで閉断面を形成する前記第二部材としての車両用の第二骨格部材と、
前記閉断面内に配置され、前記第二骨格部材とは異なる別の前記第二部材としての補強部材と、
を接合対象とし、
前記第二骨格部材における前記凹部は、前記第二骨格部材の前記フランジ部の接合面に形成されて前記第二骨格部材の長手方向に沿ってその略全長に亘って延在している第一溝部とされ、
前記補強部材における前記凹部は、前記補強部材の前記U字状部の前記基壁部の外面に形成されて前記補強部材の長手方向に沿って延在していると共に少なくとも前記補強部材の長手方向の一方側の端末には達していない第二溝部とされ、
前記補強部材の長手方向の一方側の端末を他方側の端末よりも前記第二骨格部材の長手方向の中央部の側に位置させた状態で前記補強部材を前記第二骨格部材の前記U字状部の内側に配置させると共に前記第二骨格部材の前記U字状部の前記基壁部の内面側に前記補強部材の前記フランジ部を接合した後、
前記振動溶着工程では、前記第二骨格部材の前記フランジ部の接合面と前記第一骨格部材の前記フランジ部の接合面とを接触させると共に、前記補強部材の前記U字状部の前記基壁部の外面と前記第一骨格部材の前記U字状部の前記基壁部の内面とを接触させ、加圧及び振動により溶着する、請求項1に記載の接合体の製造方法。 - 前記補強部材は一対設けられ、
前記補強部材の長手方向の一方側の端末同士を向き合わせた状態で前記補強部材を前記第二骨格部材の前記U字状部の内側における長手方向の両側に配置させると共に前記第二骨格部材の前記U字状部の前記基壁部の内面側に前記補強部材の前記フランジ部を接合した後、前記振動溶着工程が実行される、請求項4に記載の接合体の製造方法。
