Abstract
Description
熱硬化性樹脂組成物および繊維を含むプレプレグを用意する工程と、
プレプレグを減圧下に置く工程と、
プレプレグ中の実質的にすべての揮発性物質を除くのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第1の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
任意に、プレプレグ中に残存するすべての揮発性物質を除くのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第2の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
プレプレグを硬化させるのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第3の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
第1、第2または第3の上昇した温度条件のいずれか1つまたは複数より低い第4の上昇した温度条件に硬化されたプレプレグを減圧下または減圧されていない圧力下で曝露する工程と
を含む、方法が提供される。
熱硬化性樹脂組成物および繊維を含むプレプレグを用意する工程と、
プレプレグを減圧下に置く工程と、
プレプレグ中の実質的にすべての揮発性物質を除くのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第1の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
任意に、プレプレグ中に残存するすべての揮発性物質を除くのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第2の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
プレプレグを硬化させるのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第3の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
第1、第2または第3の上昇した温度条件のいずれか1つまたは複数より低い第4の上昇した温度条件に硬化されたプレプレグを減圧下または減圧されていない圧力下で曝露する工程と
を含む、方法が提供される。
Claims (28)
- プレプレグを硬化させるための方法であって、
熱硬化性樹脂組成物および繊維を含むプレプレグを用意する工程と、
プレプレグを減圧下に置く工程と、
プレプレグ中の実質的にすべての揮発性物質を除くのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第1の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
任意に、プレプレグ中に残存するすべての揮発性物質を除くのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第2の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
プレプレグを硬化させるのに十分な時間、プレプレグを減圧下で第3の上昇した温度に曝露する工程と、
第1、第2または第3の上昇した温度条件のいずれか1または複数より低い第4の上昇した温度条件に硬化されたプレプレグを減圧下または減圧されていない圧力下で曝露する工程
を含む、方法。 - 揮発性物質が、閉じ込められた空気、水、および他の低沸点物質を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の上昇した温度が約120°F〜約350°Fの範囲である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第2の上昇した温度が第1の上昇した温度より高い、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 残存するすべての揮発性物質が、水、高沸点残存溶媒、および/またはモノマー揮発性物質を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第3の上昇した温度が、第1および/または第2の上昇した温度より高い、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第4の上昇した温度が、第1および/または第2および/または第3の上昇した温度より低い、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 熱硬化性樹脂組成物が、エポキシ、エピスルフィド、オキセタン、チオキセタン、マレイミド、ナジイミド、イタコンイミド、オキサジン、シアン酸エステル、およびオキサゾリンのうちの1種または複数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 繊維が、炭素、ガラス、アラミド、ホウ素、ポリアルキレン、石英、ポリベンズイミダゾール、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリフェニレンスルフィド、ポリp−フェニレンベンゾビスオキサゾール、ポリp−フェニレンベンゾビスチアゾール、炭化ケイ素、フェノールホルムアルデヒド、フタレート、ポリピリドビスイミダゾール、およびナフテノエートからなる群から選択される1つである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ガラスが、Sガラス、S2ガラス、Eガラス、Rガラス、Aガラス、ARガラス、Cガラス、Dガラス、ECRガラス、ガラスフィラメント、ステープルガラス、Tガラス、および酸化ジルコニウムガラスからなる群から選択される1つである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 繊維が炭素であって、ポリアクリロニトリル、ピッチ、レーヨン、またはアクリル樹脂から製造される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 繊維が、ベンゾオキサジン含有サイズ剤によりサイズ処理された炭素である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 熱硬化性樹脂組成物がオキサジンであって、1種または複数のベンゾオキサジンを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 真空圧力が、686mmHg(13.3psi)より高い、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の上昇した温度が約200°Fであり、時間が約2時間である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第2の上昇した温度が約290°Fであり、時間が約3時間である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第3の上昇した温度が約360°Fであり、時間が約2時間である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第4の上昇した温度が約90°Fである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 硬化されたプレプレグが室温での貯蔵安定性である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 硬化されたプレプレグが、およそ1/8インチより大きい検出可能な空洞が実質的にないことをc−スキャンを用いて示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 硬化されたプレプレグが、ASTM 3171−11を用いる酸分解によって測定された約2体積%未満の総空洞量を示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法によって製造されたプレプレグ。
- 繊維が層中で配向されている、請求項24に記載のプレプレグ。
- 繊維層が一方向繊維から製造される、請求項25に記載のプレプレグ。
- 繊維層が織繊維から製造される、請求項25に記載のプレプレグ。
- 請求項24に記載のプレプレグの硬化反応生成物。
