Abstract
Description
a)酸化架橋によって硬化するバインダと、
b)バインダの酸化架橋を触媒するように構成された乾燥促進化合物と、
c)つや消し剤と、
を含む硬化性液状組成物であって、
当該乾燥促進化合物は、配位子を含む遷移金属キレート錯体であり、
つや消し剤は、BETによって測定されると、表面積が250m2/g以下、好ましくは200m2/g以下である沈降(precipitated)シリカ、沈降金属ケイ酸塩、又はこれらの混合物である、硬化性液状組成物を提供する。
BETによって測定された表面積が250m2/g以下、好ましくは200m2/g以下である沈降シリカ、沈降金属ケイ酸塩、又はこれらの混合物の、硬化性液状組成物用のつや消し剤としての使用を提供し、
当該硬化性液状組成物は、酸化架橋によって硬化するバインダと、当該バインダの酸化架橋を触媒するように構成された乾燥促進化合物として、配位子を含む遷移金属キレート錯体と、を含んでいる。
実験の第1のシリーズにおいて、(先の表1から取った)以下に一覧したつや消し剤を用いて、表2に報告する空気硬化ニス組成物のつや消し仕上げニスを調製した。

−Sl.Tacky=触れると僅かに粘着性。触れると少しの跡しか残らず、そしていつまでもダメージが残らない。指を離す時に、少しの抗力を受ける。
−V.Sl.Tacky=触れると非常に僅かに粘着性。触れる時に気付く跡はないが、触れると表面は乾燥していない。
−Dry=粘着性なし。
空気硬化塗料組成物を、以下の表5に示すベース組成物につや消し剤を組み込むことによって調製した。つや消し剤は、以下の表6及び表7に示すw/w%で与えられる組込み濃度で、ベース組成物中に含められた。空気硬化塗料組成物をそれぞれ調製するのに用いたつや消し剤は、以下の通りであった。

−Tack−free=塗料表面が乾燥し始め、針は塗料の表面を引き裂く。
−Dry hard=塗料が硬化乾燥し始め、針は塗料の表面に痕を残す。
−Dry through=痕が形成されない。
空気硬化塗料組成物を、概して以下の表5に示したベース組成物につや消し剤を組み込むことによって調製したが、乾燥促進剤が異なっている。この実験では、表5(実施例2)のベース組成物に用いたBorchi Oxy−coat 1101乾燥促進剤を、Nuodex DryCoat(Rockwood)乾燥促進剤(先に述べたマンガンキレート錯体の8%ケロシン溶液)の代わりとした。つや消し剤は、以下の表8に示すw/w%で与えられる組込み濃度で含められた。空気硬化塗料を調製するのに用いたつや消し剤は、以下の通りであった。

Claims (24)
- a)酸化架橋によって硬化するバインダと、
b)バインダの酸化架橋を触媒するように構成された乾燥促進化合物と、
c)つや消し剤と、
を含む硬化性液状組成物であって、
乾燥促進化合物は、配位子を含む遷移金属キレート錯体であり、
つや消し剤は、
BETによって測定された表面積が、250m2/g以下、好ましくは200m2/g以下である沈降シリカ、
沈降金属ケイ酸塩、又は、
これらの混合物
であることを特徴とする、硬化性液状組成物。 - つや消し剤は、アモルファス沈降シリカ又はアモルファス沈降金属ケイ酸塩である、請求項1に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- つや消し剤は、金属ケイ酸塩であって、BETによって測定された表面積は、450m2/g以下、好ましくは400m2/g以下である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- BETによって測定された金属ケイ酸塩の表面積は、250m2/g以下、好ましくは200m2/g以下である、請求項3に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- BETによって測定されたつや消し剤の表面積は、150m2/g以下である、請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- BETによって測定されたつや消し剤の表面積は、100m2/g以下である、請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- BETによって測定されたつや消し剤の表面積は、70m2/g以下である、請求項1乃至6の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- つや消し剤は、沈降金属ケイ酸塩であり、金属Mは、周期表の第2乃至13族の1又は複数の金属であって、モル比MxO/SiO2は、0.05以上であり、ここで、MxOは、沈降ケイ酸塩における金属酸化物の化学量論式を表し、xは、2/vと等しく、vは、金属の価数である、請求項1乃至7の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 金属ケイ酸塩の金属は、アルミニウム、カルシウム、マグネシウム及びこれらの混合物から、好ましくは、アルミニウム又はマグネシウムから選択される、請求項8に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- モル比MxO:SiO2は、0.05乃至0.6であり、MxOは、沈降ケイ酸塩における金属酸化物の化学量論式を表し、xは、2/vと等しく、vは、金属の価数である、請求項8又は請求項9に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 硬化性液状組成物は、BETによって測定された表面積が250m2/gを越えるアモルファスシリカを含む、又は、0.1重量%以下含む、請求項1乃至10の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- つや消し剤の表面積は、BETによって測定されると、70m2/g以下であって、硬化性液状組成物は、表面積が70m2/gを越えるアモルファスシリカを含む、又は、0.1重量%以下含む、請求項11に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 乾燥促進化合物の遷移金属は、1重量%未満のコバルトを含む、請求項1乃至12の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 乾燥促進化合物の遷移金属は、実質的に鉄、マンガン又はこれらの混合物からなる、請求項1乃至13の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 配位子は、二座、三座、四座、五座若しくは六座の配位子、又はこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1乃至14の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 配位子は、窒素ドナー配位子である、請求項1乃至15の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 配位子は、ビスピドン配位子、N4Py配位子、TACN配位子、トリスピセン配位子、サイクレン配位子、又は架橋配位子から選択される、請求項16に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- バインダは、共役ポリ不飽和脂肪酸部分を含む、請求項1乃至17の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- バインダは、アルキド樹脂である、又はアルキド樹脂を含む、請求項1乃至18の何れかに記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- 硬化性液状組成物は、エマルジョン塗料、溶媒ベースの塗料、ニス、木材着色剤、又はインクである、請求項19に記載の硬化性液状組成物。
- BETによって測定された表面積が、250m2/g以下、好ましくは200m2/g以下である沈降シリカ、
沈降金属ケイ酸塩、又は
これらの混合物
の、硬化性液状組成物用のつや消し剤としての使用であって、
硬化性液状組成物は、
酸化架橋によって硬化するバインダと、
バインダの酸化架橋を触媒するように構成された乾燥促進化合物として、配位子を含む遷移金属キレート錯体と、
を含む、使用。 - バインダは、アルキド樹脂であり、又はアルキド樹脂を含み、硬化性液状組成物は、水ベースの塗料、溶媒ベースの塗料、ニス、木材着色剤、又はインクである、請求項21に記載の使用。
- つや消し剤の表面積は、70m2/g以下であり、硬化性液状組成物は、BETによって測定された表面積が70m2/gを越えるアモルファスシリカを含む、又は、0.1重量%以下含む、請求項21又は請求項22に記載の使用。
- つや消し剤は、アモルファス沈降ケイ酸アルミニウム、アモルファス沈降ケイ酸カルシウム、アモルファス沈降ケイ酸マグネシウム又はこれらの混合物から、好ましくはアモルファス沈降ケイ酸アルミニウムから選択される、請求項21乃至23の何れかに記載の使用。
