Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- プリントテッドをテストする方法であって、
光学センサからの光線の前縁がノズル位置から間隔を空けて配置されるように、前記プリントヘッドの少なくとも1つのノズルの一方の側に、前記光学センサを位置決めするステップと、
前記少なくとも1つのノズルからインクを噴射するステップと、
前記光学センサが測定を行っている間に、前記光学センサを、前記光線に対して垂直な方向に、前記少なくとも1つのノズルに向けて移動させるステップと、
前記光学センサが測定を行っている間に、前記光線の後縁が前記ノズル位置の他方の側にくるように、かつ前記ノズル位置から間隔を空けて配置されるように、前記光学センサを、前記ノズル位置を通過して移動させるステップと、
前記光学センサ測定値を分析し、前記噴射されたインクの軌道を判定するステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記光学センサは一定速度で移動される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記インクは、前記少なくとも1つのノズルからバーストの形で噴射され、前記バースト間にギャップを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記バーストは、4滴から20滴までの間の滴を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記バースト間の前記ギャップは、100マイクロ秒から2000マイクロ秒までの間である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 光学センサは、前記プリントヘッドの印刷方向に対して平行な方向に移動する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記噴射されたインク軌道が不適切であるときに、前記ノズルは無効化される、請求項1に記載に記載の方法。
- 前記光線は、0.05インチから1インチまでの間の直径を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- プリンタであって、
媒体上にインクを噴射するための複数のノズルを備えたプリントヘッドを取り付けるための少なくとも1つのプリントヘッド・マウントと、
可動式キャリッジに取り付けられた光学センサであって、光源及び光検出器を含み、前記光源が前記光検出器に向けて光線を放射する、光学センサと、
第1の位置と第2の位置との間で移動可能な前記光学式キャリッジであって、当該キャリッジが前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置まで移動されたときに、前記光線の全幅が前記複数のノズルの下を通過するように構成された前記光式学キャリッジと、
メモリに結合されたプロセッサであって、前記メモリが、コンピュータ読取可能命令を含み、前記コンピュータ読取可能命令が、前記プロセッサによって実行されたときに、
前記キャリッジを前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置まで移動させながら、前記複数のノズルのうちの少なくとも1つインクを噴射し、
前記光検出器からの出力を分析し、前記噴射されたインク軌道を判定すること
によって、当該プリンタに、前記少なくとも1つのマウントに取り付けられたプリントヘッドをテストさせるように構成される、プロセッサと
を含むプリンタ。 - 前記キャリッジは一定速度で移動される、請求項9に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記インクは、前記複数のノズルのうちの前記少なくとも1つからバーストの形で噴射され、前記バースト間にギャップを有する、請求項9に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記バーストは、4滴から20滴までの間の滴を含む、請求項11に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記キャリッジは、前記プリンタの印刷方向に対して平行な方向に移動する、請求項9に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記噴射されたインク軌道が不適切であるときに、前記ノズルは無効化される、請求項9に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記光線は、0.05インチから1インチまでの間の直径を有する、請求項9に記載のプリンタ。
