Abstract
Description
本出願は、2012年5月2日出願の英国特許出願第GB1207664.2号に対する優先権及びその全ての利点を主張するものであり、その内容は参照することにより本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、水分吸収を減らすために、水を吸収しやすい多孔質基材を処理するために使用される撥水性材料に関する。このような多孔質基材の例として、セメント系基材、粘土系レンガ、石膏系基材、石灰系基材、又は木質系基材がある。
33.3%のオクチルトリエトキシシランを0.1% N−オクタデシル−N,N−ジメチル−トリメトキシシリルプロピルアンモニウムクロリドカチオン性界面活性剤を含有する66.4%の水中に、高剪断ローターステーターミキサーを用いて乳化した。1% TEOSをエマルションに攪拌しながら添加した。中位径372nmのマイクロカプセルを懸濁液中で生成した。このマイクロカプセルは、オクチルトリエトキシシランのコアと、シリカ単位を含むTEOSのネットワークポリマーのシェルとからなった。
実施例1を、2% TEOSをエマルションに更に添加して、繰り返した。
比較例C1:実施例1で調製したオクチルトリエトキシシランのカチオン性エマルションを5%活物質まで希釈し、TEOSでのいずれの処理も伴わずに繊維補強セメントボード上に噴霧した。
30.3%のオクチルトリエトキシシランを、0.3% Arquad 16〜29カチオン性界面活性剤及び0.2% Volpo L−3非イオン性界面活性剤を含有する60.1%の水中に、高剪断ローターステーターミキサーを用いて乳化した。9.1% TEOSをエマルションに攪拌しながら添加した。このマイクロカプセルは、オクチルトリエトキシシランのコアと、シリカ単位を含むTEOSのネットワークポリマーのシェルとからなった。
30.3%のメトキシ官能基付加オクチルT樹脂を、0.3% Arquad 16〜29カチオン性界面活性剤及び0.2% Volpo L−3非イオン性界面活性剤を含有する60.1%の水中に、高剪断ローターステーターミキサーを用いて乳化した。9.1%のTEOSをエマルションに攪拌しながら添加した。このマイクロカプセルは、シルセスキオキサン系活物質のコアと、シリカ単位を含むTEOSのネットワークポリマーのシェルとからなった。
33.3%のエトキシ官能基付加オクチルT樹脂を、0.1% N−オクタデシル−N,N−ジメチル−トリメトキシシリルプロピルアンモニウムクロリドカチオン性界面活性剤を含有する56.4%の水中に、高剪断ローターステーターミキサーを用いて乳化した。10%のTEOSをエマルションに攪拌しながら添加した。このマイクロカプセルは、シルセスキオキサンのコアと、シリカ単位を含むTEOSのネットワークポリマーのシェルとからなった。
33.3%の水及び0.1%のカチオン性界面活性剤(ヘキサデシルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、CTAC)を、プロペララボミキサーで、200RPMで3分間混合する。100mPa.sのポリジメチルシロキサン中に可溶化したMQ樹脂(40重量% MQ樹脂/60重量%ポリジメチルシロキサン)を上記界面活性剤溶液中に、同じミキサーで、400RPMで3分間混合する。この分散物を高剪断ミキサー(ホモジナイザー)で更に混合する。この分散物のpHを3に調節する。10%のテトラエトキシシランを穏やかに混合しながら一滴ずつ添加する。上記活物質の液滴の周りにカプセルが構築する時間をとるために、マイクロカプセル化を24時間行う。
33.3%の水及び0.1%のカチオン性界面活性剤(ヘキサデシルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、CTAC)を、プロペララボミキサーで、200RPMで3分間混合する。オクチルトリエトキシシラン中に可溶化したMQ樹脂(57重量% MQ樹脂/43重量%オクチルトリエトキシシラン)を上記界面活性剤溶液中に、同じミキサーで、400RPMで3分間混合する。この分散物を高剪断ミキサー(ホモジナイザー)で更に混合する。この分散物のpHを3に調節する。10%のテトラエトキシシランを穏やかに混合しながら一滴ずつ添加する。上記活物質の液滴の周りにカプセルが構築する時間をとるために、マイクロカプセル化を24時間行う。
−木材:サイズ50×27×18mmのホワイトパインのブロック。
−パインのブロックを、一定重量が記録されるまで、40℃のオーブン中で乾燥する(24時間間隔)。
−ブロックを、4kPa(40mbar)で、20分間、真空下に置く(図1A)。撥水性組成物をフラスコ内に入れ、木質ブロックを浸水させる(図1B)。
−ブロックを、大気圧下、20分間、撥水性組成物(1%活物質)に浸す(図1C)。
−次いで、ブロックを取り除き、ペーパーで軽く叩いて乾燥し、その重量を記録する。
−次いで、ブロックを40℃のオーブン中で4日間乾燥する。
−上記のように処理されたブロックを、2片のガラス上に直立に(最小断面27×18mmを接する面にして)置き、木質ブロックの僅か2mmのみが水と接触することを確認する。
−毛管力が水分吸収率を促進する。
−次いで、ブロックを取り除き、ペーパーで軽く叩いて乾燥し、秤量してガラス棒の上に再度置く。次いで、水と接触させてから1、3、6、8、及び24時間後に重量を記録する。
Claims (15)
- 多孔質製品の疎水性を、前記製品又は前記製品を提供する組成物を撥水性材料で処理することにより、増大させる方法であって、前記多孔質製品又は前記製品を提供する組成物が、マイクロカプセルの水性懸濁液で処理され、前記マイクロカプセルが、オルガノシラン、部分的に縮合したオルガノシラン、及び分枝状シロキサン樹脂から選択される撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料と、シリカ単位を含むケイ素系ネットワークポリマーのシェルと、を含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 前記撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料が、1〜30個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも1個のケイ素結合アルキル基を含むオルガノシラン、又はこのようなオルガノシランの部分縮合生成物である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記撥水性オルガノシランがアルキルトリアルコキシシランであり、前記アルキルトリアルコキシシランの各アルコキシ基が1〜4個の炭素原子を有する、請求項1又は2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ケイ素結合アルキル基がオクチル基である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料が、式RSiO3/2のシロキサン単位を含むシロキサン樹脂であり、式中、Rがアルキル基を表す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記式RSiO3/2の前記シロキサン単位中の前記R基が、1〜30個の炭素原子を有するアルキル基を含む、請求項1又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料が、前記式RSiO3/2のシロキサン単位を含むシロキサン樹脂であり、式中、Rがアリール基を表す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記マイクロカプセルが、テトラアルコキシシランを、オルガノシラン、部分的に縮合したオルガノシラン、及び分枝状シロキサン樹脂から選択される撥水性有機ケイ素材料の水性エマルションに添加し、これにより、前記テトラアルコキシシランが前記エマルション中の液滴の界面で縮合及び重合して、マイクロカプセルを形成することにより得られる、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 四級化アミノアルキルアルコキシシランを、前記テトラアルコキシシランより前又は前記テトラアルコキシシランと同時に、前記水性エマルションに添加する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質製品が、セメント系基材、粘土系レンガ、石膏系基材、石灰系基材、又は木質系基材から選択される、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- オルガノシラン、部分的に縮合したオルガノシラン、及び分枝状シロキサン樹脂から選択される撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料と、シリカ単位を含むケイ素系ネットワークポリマーのシェルと、を含むマイクロカプセルを、セメント系組成物に添加し、前記組成物を成形し、硬化させて、セメント系製品を形成する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記マイクロカプセルを発泡性セメント系組成物に添加する、撥水性気泡セメント製品を作製するための、請求項11に記載の方法。
- オルガノシラン、部分的に縮合したオルガノシラン、及び分枝状シロキサン樹脂から選択される撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料と、シリカ単位を含むケイ素系ネットワークポリマーのシェルと、を含むマイクロカプセルを、粘土系組成物に添加し、前記組成物を成形し、硬化させて、レンガ又はタイル製品を形成する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 多孔質製品のための撥水剤としての、オルガノシラン、部分的に縮合したオルガノシラン、及び分枝状シロキサン樹脂から選択される撥水性有機ケイ素コア材料と、シリカ単位を含むケイ素系ネットワークポリマーのシェルと、を含む、マイクロカプセルの使用。
- 前記多孔質製品が、セメント系基材、粘土系レンガ、石膏系基材、石灰系基材、又は木質系基材から選択される、請求項14に記載の使用。
