Claims (15)
- 複数の光ファイバを支持するためのフェルールであって、前記フェルールは:
前記光ファイバの端部を支持し、位置合わせスリーブの相補的な表面と位置合わせするための外面を有する本体を備え、
前記本体の前記外面は、概ね円柱状であり、概ね楕円形の部分接触面形状を有する、フェルール。 - 前記本体と前記スリーブとの間の複数の接触点は、断面の曲線に沿って画成され、前記接触点曲線に沿う前記接触点における前記曲率中心は、前記光ファイバアレイの軸の平面上に存在しない、請求項1に記載のフェルール。
- 前記接触点曲線に沿う各前記接触点における前記曲率中心は、前記光ファイバアレイの幾何学的中心に存在しない、請求項2に記載のフェルール。
- 前記接触点曲線に沿う各前記位置合わせ接触点における前記曲率中心は、前記本体の2つの直交する対称面の少なくとも1つに存在しない、請求項2に記載のフェルール。
- 前記対称面は、前記光ファイバアレイの軸の平面と、前記平面に直交する平面からなる、請求項2に記載のフェルール。
- 前記接触点曲線に沿う各前記接触点における前記曲率中心は、前記幾何学的中心に存在しない、請求項2に記載のフェルール。
- 前記本体は2つのフェルール半体からなり、前記フェルール半体の少なくとも1つの表面上に複数の長手方向の開放型溝が設けられている、請求項2に記載のフェルール。
- 前記断面の長軸に沿った端部は切り取られている、請求項2に記載のフェルール。
- 請求項2に記載のフェルール;及び
