Claims (12)
- 未延伸基材フィルムの少なくとも一面に厚さ10〜60μmの未延伸ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムを引力で付着してフィルム積層体を形成する段階と、
前記ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムの厚さが10μm以下になるように前記フィルム積層体を延伸する段階と、を含む、薄型偏光子の製造方法。 - 前記基材フィルムは、最大延伸倍率が5倍以上の高分子フィルムである、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記基材フィルムは、高密度ポリエチレンフィルム、ポリウレタンフィルム、ポリプロピレンフィルム、ポリオレフィンフィルム、エステル系フィルム、低密度ポリエチレンフィルム、高密度ポリエチレン及び低密度ポリエチレン共押出フィルム、高密度ポリエチレンにエチレンビニルアセテートが含有された共重合体樹脂、アクリルフィルム、ポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム、ポリビニルアルコール系フィルム、及びセルロース系フィルムからなる群より選択された1種以上である、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記未延伸基材フィルムと前記未延伸ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムとの引力は、0.1〜2N/2cmである、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記フィルム積層体を延伸する段階は、湿式延伸で行われる、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記フィルム積層体を延伸する段階は、20℃〜85℃の温度において5倍〜15倍の延伸倍率で行われる、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記延伸する段階の前に、前記フィルム積層体にヨード及び二色性染料のうち少なくとも一つを染着させる段階をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記フィルム積層体を延伸する段階は、ホウ酸水溶液内において行われる、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記フィルム積層体を延伸する段階の後に、ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムを基材フィルムから分離する段階をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 前記ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムを基材フィルムから分離する段階は、2N/2cm以下の剥離力を加えて行われる、請求項9に記載の薄型偏光子の製造方法。
- 請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法で製造され、厚さ10μm以下、単体透過度40〜45%、偏光度99%以上である、薄型偏光子。
- 請求項11の薄型偏光子を含む、偏光板。
