Abstract
Description
本願は、その開示が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる「Energy−Based Surgical Instruments」と題された2010年11月5日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/410,603号の優先権を主張するものである。
図1は、例示的な医療用装置(10)の構成要素を概略的ブロックフォームで示す。図示されるように、医療用装置(10)は、制御モジュール(12)、電源(14)、エンドエフェクタ(16)を備える。単に例示的な電源(14)には、NiMH電池、Liイオン電池(例えば、プリズムセル式リチウムイオン電池など)、Ni−カドミ電池、又は本明細書の教示を考慮すれば当業者には明らかとなる他の任意のタイプの電源を含んでもよい。制御モジュール(12)は、マイクロプロセッサー、特定用途向け集積回路(ASIC)、メモリー、プリント回路基板(PCB)、記憶装置(例えば、ソリッドステートドライブ若しくはハードディスク)、ファームウェア、ソフトウェア、又は本明細書の教示を考慮すれば当業者には明らかとなる他の任意の好適な制御モジュール部品を含んでもよい。制御モジュール(12)及び電源(14)は、回路基板などにおいて、ケーブル及び/又はプリントパターンなどの電気的接続(22)によって連結されて、電力を電源(14)から制御モジュール(12)へ運搬する。代替的に、電源(14)は、制御モジュール(12)に選択的に連結されてもよい。このことによって、電源(14)を医療用装置(10)から切り離し、かつ取り外すことが可能となり、そのことによって、例えば、本明細書の様々な教示に従って、再滅菌及び再使用を行うため電源(14)を容易に再充電又は再利用することが更に可能となる。加えて又は代替的に、制御モジュール(12)は、アフターサービス、試験、交換、又は本明細書の教示を考慮すれば当業者には明らかとなる他のあらゆる目的のために取り外されることが可能である。
以下に記載する例は、超音波外科用器具及び電気外科用装置を含むがこれらに限定されない、様々な外科用器具上での例示的な視覚的表示器の使用に関する。上記に参照され、及び/又は本明細書に引用した参考文献のいずれかに記載されている、器具又は装置(10、100)は、以下の教示のいずれも容易に組み込むことができることを理解するべきである。それらの教示を組み合わせることのできる様々な適切な方法は、当業者には明白であろう。以下により詳細に記載するように、視覚的表示器は、外科用器具の作動パラメータなどに関する視覚的フィードバックを提供するよう使用され得る。本開示全体において、異なる英数延長部と共に用いられる参照番号は、記載した参照の異なる変形物における類似構成要素を示す(即ち、外科用器具(50、50A)。
(1) 外科用器具であって、
(a)本体と、
(b)前記本体から遠位方向に延びる伝達アセンブリと、
(c)前記伝達アセンブリの遠位端におけるエンドエフェクタであって、前記伝達アセンブリから手術部位にエネルギーを送達するよう作動可能な、エンドエフェクタと、
(d)前記伝達アセンブリ又は前記エンドエフェクタ上の視覚的表示器であって、前記エンドエフェクタに関連した作動パラメータを視覚的に示すよう作動可能な、視覚的表示器と、
を備える、外科用器具。
(2) 前記本体上に配置された点灯装置を更に備える、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(3) 前記視覚的表示器が、前記エンドエフェクタ上に配置された点灯装置を含む、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(4) 前記エンドエフェクタが、前記外科用器具と通信する1つ又は2つ以上の光ファイバーケーブルを含んで、前記エンドエフェクタ上の視覚的表示器を通して光を伝送する、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(5) 前記エンドエフェクタが、少なくとも1つのクランプアームを含み、前記視覚的表示器が、照射のために構成されたリングを含み、前記リングが、前記少なくとも1つのクランプアームの近位に配置されている、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(7) 前記エンドエフェクタが上部クランプアームを含み、前記視覚的表示器が1つ又は2つ以上のLEDを含み、前記上部クランプアームが、前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDからの光を伝送するように構成された一連の孔を含む、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(8) 前記エンドエフェクタが、前記上部クランプアームに取り付けられた下部クランプパッドを更に含み、前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDが、前記上部クランプアームと前記下部クランプパッドとの間に配置されている、実施態様7に記載の外科用器具。
(9) 前記エンドエフェクタが、遠位アセンブリ及び押出外側シースを更に含み、前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDから前記遠位アセンブリを通して電線管の第1の組が延び、前記遠位アセンブリが、前記押出外側シースの近位端に取り外し可能に取り付けられるように構成されている、実施態様8に記載の外科用器具。
(10) 前記押出外側シースが、射出成形されたものであり、かつ電線管の第2の組を含み、前記電線管の第2の組が、前記遠位アセンブリが前記押出外側シースに取り付けられた際、前記電線管の第1の組と電気的に接続するように構成される、実施態様9に記載の外科用器具。
(12) 前記遠位アセンブリが、前記押出外側シースの前記近位端に、スナップ嵌め接続にて取り外し可能に取り付けられるように構成される、実施態様9に記載の外科用器具。
(13) 前記遠位アセンブリが、成形遠位外側チューブを含み、前記上部クランプアームが、前記成形遠位外側チューブに枢動可能に接続されている、実施態様9に記載の外科用器具。
(14) 前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDが白熱光を放射し、前記白熱光が、一連の色のうちの少なくとも1つにて放射されるように構成される、実施態様7に記載の外科用器具。
(15) 各色が、前記エンドエフェクタのブレードの温度レベルに関連する、実施態様14に記載の外科用器具。
(a)シースと、
(b)前記シースから延びる高調波ブレードと、
(c)前記超音波外科用器具内に収容されたLEDであって、前記高調波ブレードに付与された力に応答する、LEDと、
を備え、前記シースが、前記LEDからの光を伝送するように構成された光伝送部分を含む、器具。
(17) 前記シースの全体が艶消し透明材料を含み、かつ前記LEDからの光を伝送するように構成される、実施態様16に記載の器具。
(18) 前記シースが、連続する不透明チューブと、前記連続する不透明チューブ内に配置された光導体チューブとを含み、前記連続する不透明チューブが細長い局部的範囲を含み、前記LED及び光導体チューブからの光が、前記細長い局部的範囲を通してのみ伝送される、実施態様16に記載の器具。
(19) 前記シースが、局部的範囲を含む一連のドットを有し、前記ドットが、前記LEDからの光を前記局部的範囲を通してのみ伝送するように光を送られる(light piped)、実施態様16に記載の器具。
(20) 外科用器具であって、
(a)本体と、
(b)前記本体から遠位方向に延びるシャフトと
(c)前記シャフトの遠位端内に収容されている1つ又は2つ以上のLEDと、
を備え、各LEDが、前記シャフトの前記遠位端に関連した作動パラメータを視覚的に示すよう作動可能な、外科用器具。
Claims (20)
- 外科用器具であって、
(a)本体と、
(b)前記本体から遠位方向に延びる伝達アセンブリと、
(c)前記伝達アセンブリの遠位端におけるエンドエフェクタであって、前記伝達アセンブリから手術部位にエネルギーを送達するよう作動可能な、エンドエフェクタと、
(d)前記伝達アセンブリ又は前記エンドエフェクタ上の視覚的表示器であって、前記エンドエフェクタに関連した作動パラメータを視覚的に示すよう作動可能な、視覚的表示器と、
を備える、外科用器具。 - 前記本体上に配置された点灯装置を更に備える、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記視覚的表示器が、前記エンドエフェクタ上に配置された点灯装置を含む、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが、前記外科用器具と通信する1つ又は2つ以上の光ファイバーケーブルを含んで、前記エンドエフェクタ上の視覚的表示器を通して光を伝送する、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが、少なくとも1つのクランプアームを含み、前記視覚的表示器が、照射のために構成されたリングを含み、前記リングが、前記少なくとも1つのクランプアームの近位に配置されている、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタがシャフトを含み、前記シャフトが透明レンズを含み、前記視覚的表示器が、前記透明レンズの下方に配置された1つ又は2つ以上のLEDを含む、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが上部クランプアームを含み、前記視覚的表示器が1つ又は2つ以上のLEDを含み、前記上部クランプアームが、前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDからの光を伝送するように構成された一連の孔を含む、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが、前記上部クランプアームに取り付けられた下部クランプパッドを更に含み、前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDが、前記上部クランプアームと前記下部クランプパッドとの間に配置されている、請求項7に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが、遠位アセンブリ及び押出外側シースを更に含み、前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDから前記遠位アセンブリを通して電線管の第1の組が延び、前記遠位アセンブリが、前記押出外側シースの近位端に取り外し可能に取り付けられるように構成されている、請求項8に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記押出外側シースが、射出成形されたものであり、かつ電線管の第2の組を含み、前記電線管の第2の組が、前記遠位アセンブリが前記押出外側シースに取り付けられた際、前記電線管の第1の組と電気的に接続するように構成される、請求項9に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記遠位アセンブリが、1つ又は2つ以上の突出部又は切り欠きのうちの一方を含み、前記1つ又は2つ以上の突出部又は切り欠きのうちの一方が、前記押出外側シース内に配置された1つ又は2つ以上の突出部又は切り欠きのうちの他方内に受容されるように構成される、請求項9に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記遠位アセンブリが、前記押出外側シースの前記近位端に、スナップ嵌め接続にて取り外し可能に取り付けられるように構成される、請求項9に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記遠位アセンブリが、成形遠位外側チューブを含み、前記上部クランプアームが、前記成形遠位外側チューブに枢動可能に接続されている、請求項9に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記1つ又は2つ以上のLEDが白熱光を放射し、前記白熱光が、一連の色のうちの少なくとも1つにて放射されるように構成される、請求項7に記載の外科用器具。
- 各色が、前記エンドエフェクタのブレードの温度レベルに関連する、請求項14に記載の外科用器具。
- 超音波外科用器具であって、
(a)シースと、
(b)前記シースから延びる高調波ブレードと、
(c)前記超音波外科用器具内に収容されたLEDであって、前記高調波ブレードに付与された力に応答する、LEDと、
を備え、前記シースが、前記LEDからの光を伝送するように構成された光伝送部分を含む、器具。 - 前記シースの全体が艶消し透明材料を含み、かつ前記LEDからの光を伝送するように構成される、請求項16に記載の器具。
- 前記シースが、連続する不透明チューブと、前記連続する不透明チューブ内に配置された光導体チューブとを含み、前記連続する不透明チューブが細長い局部的範囲を含み、前記LED及び光導体チューブからの光が、前記細長い局部的範囲を通してのみ伝送される、請求項16に記載の器具。
- 前記シースが、局部的範囲を含む一連のドットを有し、前記ドットが、前記LEDからの光を前記局部的範囲を通してのみ伝送するように光を送られる、請求項16に記載の器具。
- 外科用器具であって、
(a)本体と、
(b)前記本体から遠位方向に延びるシャフトと
(c)前記シャフトの遠位端内に収容されている1つ又は2つ以上のLEDと、
を備え、各LEDが、前記シャフトの前記遠位端に関連した作動パラメータを視覚的に示すよう作動可能な、外科用器具。
