Claims (5)
- アレイ基板とこれに対向する対向基板を有し前記基板間に液晶層を有する液晶表示パネルと、
この液晶表示パネルを覆い入射面側及び出射面側に夫々開口部を有するベゼルと、
を備える投射型液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶表示パネルには、表示領域と、この表示領域に隣接して配置された周辺領域と、この周辺領域に隣接して配置された額縁領域とに区分された各領域を備え、前記表示領域には画素がマトリクス状に配置され、前記額縁領域には前記画素を駆動する駆動回路が配置され、前記周辺領域には前記画素と前記駆動回路を接続する接続配線パターンが配置されており、前記ベゼルの入射面側の前記開口部は前記表示領域に対応する大きさの開口として形成され、前記ベゼルの出射面側の前記開口部は前記周辺領域に対向して開口しており、前記入射面側の前記開口部に対して前記出射面側の前記開口部の大きさを大きく形成していることを特徴とする投射型液晶表示装置。 - 前記周辺領域には、前記接続配線パターンのみが配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の投射型液晶表示装置。
- 前記額縁領域には、前記画素を駆動する走査線駆動回路が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の投射型液晶表示装置。
- 前記額縁領域に対応する前記液晶表示パネルの対向基板にはブラックマトリクスが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の投射型液晶表示装置。
- 前記額縁領域に対応する前記液晶表示パネルのアレイ基板には遮光層が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の投射型液晶表示装置。
