Description

前記ベゼルは、前記第1面側に設けられた第1開口部と、前記第2面側に設けられ、前記第1開口部よりも大きさが大きい第2開口部と、を有し、ている。
前記アレイ基板は、前記額縁領域に対応する位置に第1遮光層を有している。
前記対向基板は、前記第1遮光層と平面視において重なり、前記額縁領域に対応する位置に第2遮光層を有している。
前記第1遮光層の端部及び前記第2遮光層の端部は、平面視において前記第2開口部の端部と同じ位置に設けられている。
前記第1遮光層及び前記第2遮光層は、平面視において前記第1開口部及び前記第2開口部と重ならない。

- アレイ基板と、対向基板と、前記アレイ基板と前記対向基板との間に設けられた液晶層と、を有する液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶パネルの一部を覆うベゼルと、
を備え、
前記液晶表示パネルは、表示領域と、前記表示領域に隣接して配置された周辺領域と、前記周辺領域に隣接して配置された額縁領域と、前記アレイ基板と前記対向基板の一方の側の第1面と、前記アレイ基板と前記対向基板の他方の側の第2面と、を有し、
前記ベゼルは、前記第1面側に設けられた第1開口部と、前記第2面側に設けられ、前記第1開口部よりも大きさが大きい第2開口部と、を有し、
前記アレイ基板は、前記額縁領域に対応する位置に第1遮光層を有し、
前記対向基板は、前記第1遮光層と平面視において重なり、前記額縁領域に対応する位置に第2遮光層を有し、
前記第1遮光層の端部及び前記第2遮光層の端部は、平面視において前記第2開口部の端部と同じ位置に設けられ、
前記第1遮光層及び前記第2遮光層は、平面視において前記第1開口部及び前記第2開口部と重ならない投射型液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1面側とは、光源からの光の入射面側であり、
前記第2面側とは、前記光源からの光の出射面側である請求項1記載の投射型液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶表示パネルは、
前記表示領域に設けられ、マトリクス状に配置された複数の画素と、
前記額縁領域に設けられ、前記画素を駆動する駆動回路と、
前記周辺領域に設けられ、前記画素と前記駆動回路とを接続する接続配線パターンと、
を備えている請求項1または2に記載の投射型液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1開口部は、前記表示領域に対応する大きさを有し、
前記第2開口部の開口端は、前記周辺領域に対向する位置に設けられている請求項3記載の投射型液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1開口部は、前記表示領域を露出させ、
前記第2開口部は、前記周辺領域の少なくとも一部と、前記表示領域と、を露出させる請求項3または4に記載の投射型液晶表示装置。 - 前記周辺領域には、前記接続配線パターンのみが配置されている請求項3〜5のいずれか1つに記載の投射型液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素を駆動する駆動回路は、前記画素を駆動する走査線駆動回路を有する請求項3〜6のいずれか1つに記載の投射型液晶表示装置。
