Claims (10)

  1. コアと、クラッドと、前記クラッドと光ファイバ端部の外面に被着されたコーティング材料とを備えた光ファイバであって、前記コーティング材料が前記光ファイバ端部に差し向けられた光の一部分を光学的に減衰させるよう構成された、光ファイバと、
    前記光ファイバ端部に差し向けられた前記光の一部分を選択的に光学的に減衰させるよう、前記光ファイバの前記コーティング材料の少なくとも一部分に設けられた光学減衰パターンを有する、
    光ファイバ装置。
  2. 前記コーティング材料は、前記光ファイバ端部に差し向けられた前記光の一部分の光学減衰量を制御する第1の厚さで設けられている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  3. 前記第1の厚さは、10マイクロメートル(μm)〜200マイクロメートルである、
    請求項2記載の光ファイバ装置。
  4. 前記コーティング材料は、前記光ファイバ端部の外面全体に被着されている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  5. 前記光ファイバ端部は、角度劈開されている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  6. 前記光学減衰パターンは、リングパターンで構成されている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  7. 前記光学減衰パターンは、凹状パターンで構成されている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  8. 前記光学減衰パターンは、前記光ファイバ端部に差し向けられた前記光の高次モード部分を光学的に減衰させるよう構成されている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  9. 前記光学減衰パターンは、前記光ファイバ端部に差し向けられた前記光の低次モード部分を光学的に減衰させるよう構成されている、
    請求項1記載の光ファイバ装置。
  10. 前記光学減衰パターンは、前記光ファイバ端部に差し向けられた前記光の少なくとも一発散角の部分を光学的に減衰させるよう構成されている、
